what? There was an event. You couldn't participate to complete it fully. Oh well. There will be others. Hopefully you can finish the next one. PGI doesn't owe you anything, much less need to make it up to you.
You are right 99% of the time but not on this one.
Even Russ acknowledged it.
Not too concerned as I got 500 match score on multiple accounts, but should have gotten 9 more bags on this guy.

Indeed. I don 't fuss that an alt didn't get it - I'll live; just use those these days to sync-drop with tha' new fellas, or " try before u buy" mechs they don't have - but this time, we had one as is moving, and another whose computer gave up the ghost ( in the machine?) ...
4 loot bags short of my buddy getting a "learn to dead side" trainer Tbolt. (weeps )
Despite the name, i find the "quick" plays a lot slower than rollin' thru those snappy scout matches.

Dude, I wasn't available to play much, and I was cutting it close but it ended a day early. I missed out on the biggest reward realistically available to me because of a mistake made on the company's part. If the event was supposed to end when it did I would've shifted things around to play sooner. I don't get the chance to play a whole lot or have a lot of money to spare so every reward matters to me. Fully skilling my mechs and getting a few needed engines and upgrades is going to cost me around 80 million c bills. And that's just for my main account...

This is the type of vitriol that will lose players faster than anything PGI could do.

I assumed he was complaining (as I've seen often here from other common posters) that the event wasn't long enough for him because of personal circumstances. I didn't realize it was because PGI screwed up the event timer. My bad, that actually is a PGI problem then, and they should fix it.
I've just too often seen people complaining that events aren't long enough, or that they can't participate, for whatever arbitrary personal reason, and I had a knee-jerk response because it looked like more of the same complaining. It wasn't, so sorry for that reaction.

Sure, they could try to edit the ending time of the event in the database and see where that goes ... but considering their track record I wouldn't be too surprised if that doesn't get them the desired result.

Hello again, everyone. I've been taking in the feedback since my last major posting (That's at https://mwomercs.com/forums/topic/268669-turtle-bay-aftermath/page__view__findpost__p__6160973 for your reference...) and the one before (Look at https://mwomercs.com/forums/topic/268669-turtle-bay-aftermath/page__view__findpost__p__6160253 for that one...), and I'm gonna keep this short as possible. I'm bumping my Review Rating to...
7.0/10
...which is an increase, because...
- After feedback from other people on this thread, it seems I'm being too extreme (even though I personally did not feel that way about it myself) with trying to call for only needing 400+ Match Score on that item where PGI is requiring 500+ Match Score. I guess asking for 450+ Match Score is probably about the right spot, but I still think the pendulum swings too harshly in the direction of "Elite Players Only" above that point. Hopefully, others will at least agree with me on this, because I would like to see an increase of the number of people sticking around that have any reasonable level of skill. Shutting out the "Non-Elite Players" really doesn't help to that end result.
- PGI has accepted their error with the Quick Play Section's available Time Frame on this Event, and admitted to the mistake. While it may not be an outright apology, it's a whole heck of a lot better than being quiet. Let's hope they come up with some kind of good solution, eh?

AND WE ARE INVESTIGATING SOLUTIONS.
...yeah, this is good for folks who needed QP loot bags. I was working during the FP event and although I maxxed my QP bags and no more are to be had - I only was able to get in 35 of the FP bags and even with the extra time have no way to earn the mech. Sitting at 135/150 with the tourney pack. :/

Here's last half year's worth of leaderboard data for players who by their own admission succeeded in attaining 500 score for the event ( cf linked thread )
To summarize: 70-80% of the playerbase should be more than capable of completing that goal at least ONCE during the several day event if they put their mind to it.
The only players that goal "shuts out" are ones who either are abjectly terrible or take a look at the goal and assume it's impossible without even trying.

I feel hurt as I've almost entirely played FW since I came back so aren't even on that list ... for the last year.
PS: TBH some of the claims in this thread have been dubious at best as you can just compare what it took you to achieve the target to their claims and go .... really?

I'm sorry, but your list is full of holes. Many of those names, if not all of them, are "'Elite-Type, Competitive-Class Players'", and as such do NOT fall within the scope of my Event Reviews & Ratings in any way/shape/form/manner whatsoever. Next time, please take a better look around and find those who are only of the "'Above Average'-Class" or lesser. Quit trying to lump everyone together as one pile and call it "good" when it's not, as it so happens not all players are equal and I'm just simply trying to keep the crowd growing of those who are encouraged to keep playing MWO!
EDIT :: Before I forget, these Event Reviews & Ratings are to provide PGI with useful feedback to help them develop better Future Events that everyone will be attracted to. They are explicitly NOT meant to slap the "'Elite-Type, Competitive-Class Players'" in the face, and you need to quit taking it that way!

Cool, I really didn't think you were like that but couldn't help but pull the trigger myself so I understand. See you on the battlefield!
