Actually over just the hit components which would be both legs, and at most 2 torso, unless the impacted mech gets a face full of knee then it over the 3 torsos, or throw his shoulder into it which means that arm is likely gone.
At 5m from the leg there should be enough of the hostile in view when looking down to get an estimate where to aim arm mounts or low slung torso mounts. Also alternating from backing up to going forward would throw the timing off for most leg humping lights as it is.
