Clan get the coolest energy weapons like they should but come on can't we IS guys get a few cool news toys maybe a few x pulse laser?

X-Pulse Lasers are definitely not "cool." They're super duper hot with only the range of a standard IS laser.

Large laser and lrg pulse laser really need a dmg per ton buff. Maybe buff dmg and nerf cool down.

Hey I will take some hot lasers. I am sure I could find a few build to use them on.It would be just nice to have some different weapons with better range vs lose in heat management. Also I like clan heavy laser and those things are hot...the other kind of cool...

I was being silly with the definition of the word "cool," don't take it too literal bruh.


The point remains that they'd have a risk of generating too much heat to make them worth it, particularly for the large and small sizes. The MXPL has the best chance at success but range buffs to the vanilla MPL have made its niche less desirable (the range difference is supposed to be 90 meters instead of just 50). Also keep in mind that they will likely have a longer reloading time than normal pulses similar to how ER lasers shoot slower than STD lasers.

PS: When copy-pasting things to the MWO forum you should use the option "paste as plain text." That will prevent all of the wacky formatting issues that I had to chop out of this quote box.

I just want some new toys I like niche weapons. Heavy laser are niche weapons too me but I find great use for them on some builds.

Well I find most of the time heavy's are not worth taking over std pulse laser on most builds. Unless you going heavy laser vomit then yea general purpose.

Binary Laser Cannon (Blazer) 9 tons, 4 slots, 12 damage, 16 heat
Tweak it to compete with the Clan HLL, maybe 14 damage, 14 heat?

For Clan
Enhanced Extended Range Particle Projector Cannon (EERPPC) 7 tons, 3 slots, 12 damage, 15 heat
Tweak it to be a good option vs the ERPPC with 12 direct damage & no splash, but reduce the heat.

way i saw it civil war gave the is all the ballistics theyve been missing, clan got more lasers, both got a new missile system. next pack the clan needs to get new ballistics and is needs to get new lasers. then mech mortars for both. clans can also get plasma since is got a bunch of ppcs last time.

Too be honest weapons are in a pretty good spot and nothing is too broken right now. Why not add a few weapons just make sure there not broken when they come out and if anything is out of wack nerf time.
