Just Stop Voting For Escort

The Devs already can read the data - this mode is more than broken and no one wants to play it.
But still....I guess we keep getting the trolls that want to vote for it.
Just stop - doesn't make you look cool - doesn't make you win - only way to get through to the devs about this mode is to just stop voting for it.
I can go into the multiple reasons this mode is broken - but it still is voted for.
Please just stop.

Gaining local superiority to flip/keep a radar tower is a mildly interesting objective.

But that rarely happens as a factor in winning the mode. It usually comes down to the VIP and its unknowable course. Yes you can control that some by the "radar" flipping mechanism - but 9/10 games it never matters.

Like allowing the VIP to shoot enemies on his path instead of only being able to run blindfolded into them...
Or allowing players to choose the VIP's path by lighting up one pathfinder beacon instead of another, so the whole match doesn't depend on the dumb A.I. choosing the map's worth possible path...
Here's a simple suggestion : The VIP is invincible, but enemy mechs can make him stop moving by shooting at him. So to let the VIP reach the dropship in time you have to clear a path for him.

Well it's not entirely on rails either, since it can choose between multiple paths...
What about my idea of only allowing enemy mechs to make the VIP stop moving, but not to destroy it, so your whole team doesn't have to go suicide into an obvious enemy firing line before the VIP does ?

Let me guess, your favourite movie is Fifty Shades of Grey and you are a fan of Marquis de Sade?

However, I really enjoy the mode. It is rare, it is different, and my absolute favourite thing to do is as a defender sniping people trying to flip the radar points. Not enough to kill; but just enough to stop the cap. I'll spread my fire across multiple targets, just to make sure no one can actually cap the point
But hey, it is a voting system. Unpopular game modes don't happen often, but once in awhile, annoying things get voted in. Heck, I didn't vote for the current political party.
