I think medium lasers have an actual heat of 3.5, not 4. My numbers aren't coming out right unless I calculate it at the half point reduced. Makes a rather substantial difference, overall.

I've got a question and I'm getting conflicting information in regards to lasers.

One post says that a small laser does max damage up to 90m, then reduced damage up to 180, and nothing above that.

The first post says minimum range is 90, and max is 180. To me, I take that as the "sweet spot" to do max damage, so I've been trying to stay between 90 and 180 meters.

Which is accurate? If the first is right, then the chart in first post needs to be changed, and probably a whole new column for 0-90, the half damage 90-180..?

Is this the same for medium / long?

Thanks for the clarification!

Peak is 90, max is 180 on the small. Between 90-180 damage diminishes over distance. Past 180 = no damage.

Thank you for the information. Seems the Tabletop information has been tweaked a bit. I really think lasers are off a bit and need to be tweaked. However, I think they do work well now - so I am not sure.

Very nice! Someone like myself, who used to play the table top version of the game, needed a reference like this so we could see the differences in ranges, etc from the original game we used to play. Awesome work!

Hi Great work on this.

It seems the excel links all point to the same file. I was trying to get the hardpoint file in excel format.

Thanks

Edit: My bad, I didn't look at the directory. There is not an excell file for the hardpoints sheet.
I just wanted to tweek it for myself.
