1. It's about [expletive deleted] time! One of my favourite Mechs.
2. Too bad you guys stopped producing new maps, I cannot justify making the purchase.

> "Oh hey new mech open for preorder"
> Missile-focused 55t
> Lots of LRMs in stock configs
> This the same week as another round of LRM buff announced (the one time they've been 'nerfed' in two years they had off-setting buffs unlike SPLs which saw a 33% nerf with no compensation)
> Close MWO
Get a grip, PGI.

Also, for everyone complaining that this mech fills a role already filled by other mechs, let me ask you this. Why does that matter? With the number of mechs in MWO right now, it's impossible for them to add new mechs that don't fill a similar role to other mechs in the game. So, if they decided to agree with you, we wouldn't get any new mechs. Ever. And there's still dozens of iconic mechs that haven't been added yet. We only just recently won the fight to use the Unseen, which means there's a number of popular mechs that can be added in now. Mechpacks don't take development time away from new maps. The guys who build and animate the mechs aren't the same guys who work on new maps, or new game modes, or balance. So why do you keep complaining? I'm genuinely curious.
Because it's boring and takes devtime away from other mechs I'd actually want, like the Hollander. BUT you bet your sweet *** I wouldn't buy that either because we all know PGI being PGI, would mess it up and not do the poor thing justice with the appropriate quirks it would need. And probably buff LRM velocity again.
#HollanderOrRiot

40-50% ballistic/gauss CD, +armor on huge gun ST, might even require a new ammo rack quirk, but I want to see Alex do it justice

Dude...the LRM's are not getting a straight up buff, or have you not read the notes and just listened to all the other kids crying in the school yard of the big bad LRM bully beating them up again? It's a full change overall of the FULL LRM system, decreasing in areas and increasing in areas, making Non-Line of sight (Even more spread on your LRM's) and Line of sight (Better spread on your LRM's) matter for LRMer's now in a fight, making Hybrid builds that have 1 or 2 lrm racks with a bunch of brawlly weapons even better, AMS is getting a boost, individual missile health depending on size of missile rack is getting changed, etc etc, so NO... there is no LRM buff, its a LRM overhaul to make it even better, making LRM's hiding from distance and LRMing less effective and enticing LRMer's to get up to the second line, get that line of sight and put pain on their enemy
Soooo yeahhh no buff lol, its a overhaul my friend
Also P.S.
Before I get something called saying I must be complaining because I'm a LRMer, nah I have like 3ish LRM boats (With side arms), some mixed atm/lrm builds with (With side arms) and a hand full over Hybrid brawling buildings on different mechs either involving atm's or LRM's and the hybrids are beautiful as always, and then just a bunch of "random" different mechs that fill different rolls, too many to count lol, and this update just makes the brawling Hybrids even better, so keep it going PGI

Velocity buff + direct fire mode which is a buff + ghost heat buffs on 5s + ATM buffs. None of the heat crap anywhere near makes up for those things. The AMS "buff" doesn't help offset it and doesn't help mechs that don't carry AMS. It's a straight up buff to these weapon systems.

One thing that makes me wonder is:
Why does the early adopter rewards include sherman pattern? As the Dervish is a rather Davion mech, I would have expected Davion pattern included. Just my thought.
Seconded!

And legit lore points to Mercarryn!

well LRMs are garbage they needed SOMETHING. ask any experienced player if LRMs are viable outside of polar highlands
mechpack with little variation? i love the IS humanoid mechs, would you rather it have 25ballistic hardpoints and be game breaking ?

Definitely not an iconic or cared-about mech. Strange choice. Sure, it goes in HBS BT or MW5, but it's competing with the Shadow Hawk, Kintaro, and whatever that other 55 ton mech is (I can't remember right now). In HBS the 50-tonners are generally better anyway due to higher weapons payload.

While I think it'd do fine as an LRM boat medium mech, I'm seeing good potential in the Dervish as a beefier Hunchback HBK-4SP with jump juice, using SRMs or MRMs augmented with energy weapons. MechDB has the Dervish up already and I've been able to make a few SRM boats with energy secondary, a quad MPL and SRM2 build, MRM and medium laser builds, a dual MRM30 build, and even a risky XL engined dual MRM40 build.

I like the missile door design on the Dervish. Can you revise the Archer, Hellspawn, Stalker and Catapult doors as well? They are bullet magnets and their large door profiles makes them a damage magnifier.
Thanks,
