That first screenshot...

...is that the original forest colony?

That is what our friendly Matt Newman (a.k.a. "Mr. Awesome") appeared to say in an earlier post on this thread...

BTW that screen was taken in Forest Colony (Classic) I got very nostalgic running around in that map again and I hope you guys do too!

...so enjoy the background imagery just as much as the Mech that happens to be shown there. Maybe he will personally stop by and confirm this too? ^_^

The screen shot on the bottom looks like the old forest colony winter.

Because that's what it actually is.

By the way, PGI, why are there no screenshots of the holiday bonus hero? Do you want it to be a surprise for us?

Uhm... pardon me... but, when I checked the definition of "illusive", it didn't seem to add up in your sentence. Did you perhaps mean...

...which seems to have a far more appropriate definition to the context of the overall conversation?

Changed... but if it turns out not to have an arm it will become illusive :)

I'm probably being overly nitpicky here, but what is the point of the claw hands when the gun barrels extend past the claws or into the area where something would be held? Unless this was intended to be used as a "stab and grab" with intended risk to the ballistic barrel, I have a hard time making sense of why it was not placed either outside of the arm or fitted deeper into the arm...

Am I the only one looking for answers here?

Quirks are up....Along with pics of different geometery.......

The different geometery bodes well for the future and adds some"Style" to the "Sameness" of all the mechs

It's tapped to attack a player !

I have to say, I REALLY love the different geos of the mech.

They each give a "unique" feel to each variant, although they are all the same mechs.

PGI, if you can, MORE OF THIS.

Cheers,

After taking a hard look at the mech, I find myself looking for more parts that I can identify.
Lovin' the bulldozer blade, the winch, The rollbar with all the different spotlights, the straps holding parts of it together,
The general worn and torn look of most of the armor panels. It sums up the cobbled together nature of a Pirate mech

It maybe ugly, but like Oscar the Grouch, ya gotta Love it.

And So it shall be named.....I dub Thee...."OSCAR"

Hi again, Matt... Please give my thanks to whomever that it is due regarding the weapon placement of the Ballistic HardPoints on "COR-BR", the Holiday 2018 Corsair Hero Mech which will soon enter the game. I am very thankful/appreciative that it has been designed to fight the usual Nascar Trend, and therefore might finally help to stop one of the problems that has been a plague to MWO's general gameplay. :D

Two observations. The potential for considerable differences in volume exist depending on limb configuration. Which of the three limb configurations is the Corsair scaled relative other mechs?

Secondly, torso durability quirks are the same across limb configurations meaning the 7A is either underquirked or perhaps is quite adequately quirked with the armed versions being even more tanky which is fine with me.

There is an error in the quirks of the COR-7A: it has a Base Structure (RA) +10. What right arm are you talking about? The COR-7R has also “no” arms and no bonus structure in either.
