That's probably intentional to reflect it being a 'Frankenmech'.

I get that, but I wish it had some kind of other advantage to compensate for that (like mobility or something).

Indirect needs more nerfs. Lock on time and spread increase are basically nothing.

>Has a decently well received PTS for LRM changes
>Adds velocity change to the upcoming live release
>People immediately come out in massive outcry of it as it's unnessecary and wasnt tested
>adds it anyway

Excellent work as ever. /s

Man I wonder if our balance overlord is going to go on vacation again and miss all this feedback.

Edit: Seriously though how do you attempt to nerf Clan LaserVom (which didn't need to be nerfed) BUT THEN BUFF IT? And the IS got their armor quirks removed on the more prominent IS mechs?

How do you figure "ah yes, patch note response was mostly negative, so lets buff lrms even more".

This is honestly the most ridiculous failed attempt at balancing I've seen from any Dev.

Also, someone who is balancing the game should:
A: play the game
B: Know that set of 8 quirks only work when you have A SET OF 8 OMNIPODS

I would have waited on the AMS quirk removal till after a month of live data collection to see if it needed change. Also seeing the Clan LRM having worse indirect spread compared to the IS variant while the IS variants hit all at once reducing the number of missiles lost to AMS while the clans stream in and get swatted like flies. Top that off with the reduced health of missiles on bigger tube count means larger means even more of the missiles in 15 and 20 tube variants will likely be shot down. Got a feeling we will be seeing a jump in LRM mechs running 6+ LRM 5/10s spamming away missiles compared to one larger volley.

All Warhammer IIC variant could have used some torso twist radius, and rate increased, as well as turning rate.

The health should have been dynamic on total tube count. Possible by the mech quirk rather than weapon quirk.
So that MAYBE ONE DAY A SINGLE ALRMx20 would be feasible and not MOAR MOAR MOAR TUBES arms race. (StuporNova, NonoNovaCat)

Especially because an event based on damage is going to be running at the same time...

The 80 ton Warhammer IIC should not have less agility than the 90 ton Highlander IIC. There's no justification for a heavier assault mech to have higher turn rate, torso twist speed, torso twist range, acceleration and deceleration.

i've already been seeing a ridiculous amount of LRMs since the event started. between the LRM/ATM changes and everyone taking out their new corsairs the game is going to be practically unplayable for at least a week.

im disappointed in removing the Wolfhounds AMS range quirks, it was cool to have 35% extra range (with skill tree).

Also the tweaks to missile health are most certainly going to bring back the LRM5 DPS machines, these changes mean theres even less reason to use LRM 20s than before.

ATM buffs are a bit more reasonaable.

seriously dont know why people complain about the WHM IIC as "crap movility", this mech is fast as ****, i play it like a heavy, going 80kph, that is HUGE for an 80ton mech, add the jump jets to the mix and it is super movile, sure it lacks the fire power of a proper assault, or even some heavies, but makes up for it with speed.

Compared to the LRM80 Supernovas and LRM90 Nova Cats...I think I'd rather deal with the LRM30 Vultures.

Also keep in mind that although the health per missile will be lower on the big launchers, you still have more missiles in total to make up for that. The patch notes didn't list the actual values for health so we'll have to wait until the patch goes live to find the real values in Weapons.XML. I'm strongly doubting that an LRM5 will have higher total health per full volley than an LRM15/20.
