Isn't their official position, that Error 63 has nothing to do with their system, but is the problem of the PC of the individual player?
I highly doubt that.

I think their servers want the information in 2 milliseconds, but our lans and PC's cant deliver so fast, which leads to Error 63.

Been trying to log-in, over 10 times, always error 63...

Will there be submission contests in the future run by PGI that reward MechWarrior poets who want to write these Story Sections?

I can think of a few players I would like to see try and write Lore friendly short stories for FP.

Critical Rocket comes to mind. I trust that guy to get the Lore right.

Is this really what it's going to be like ? Times when the only choice is I.S ? What does it mean for people who dont play I.S mechs ?

I do appreciate faction getting some love but if you are now telling me at times i will not be able to play then this really is concerning. I only play this game for faction and telling me that you are taking half of my time away leaves me asking wtf.

Change your faction, for the duration of the event to IS, chose a IS-Faction, play and have fun.
After Event is over switch back to Clan, it could be so easy.
Nowadays you get no penalty.

Gotta admit that the FP concerns over specific factions and times of play available are a legit concern for players. I could see this very specific test just being one conflict to try and test the functionality of the new matchmaking, and that's why they chose one planet, 2 factions, etc. The concern though is that no one has come forth saying, "This is just a low population test, in actual release FP will be back to a free for all of factions attacking each other where everyone from every faction can find a conflict to play in that's Scouting or Assault..." but no word on that yet...

Because to some people story matters rather than just pvp. To some people this is the only holdover since MW5 isn't out yet and they want to actually do more than just play an fps competitive game for the meta.

I'll decide what to do with my time thank you very much.

I'm part of a clan loyalist unit who have invested most of our funds on clan mechs. At no point did anyone tell us that at some point our time and money spent would be half of what it is now. Thats flat out garbage.

Its not right to ask people to basically start again buying mechs, tech and leveling them up just to play in a game mode that we have played in without problems since it first began.

And anyway this is all speculation in the first place. We dont even know if this is or will be the final form of FP. All i'm doing is voicing my own concerns.

You do realize, that they are testing a Special Event System on the PTS. And part of this Special Event System are Clan vs Clan, IS vs IS. or Scouting only or Invasion only or first 2 hours Scouting only and then Invasion only, etc.

No, i didnt realise that this was only supposed to represent a special event. As far as i knew this was a test for a new version of faction play. The last part, the game types yes i knew that.

So a special event, if this is the situation it would not bother me in the slightest. I just dont like the idea of being locked out of faction for a season because its I.S v I.S. If this was never the case then i apologise for getting my knickers in a twist. Time will tell i suppose.

yes, its status is unknown!
What does it mean? Offline?!
Sever status has nothing to do with it, the server has been reset so i could login to the server even with unknown status

1. For the actual release, hopefully MM will be set for around 2 minutes. 7 seconds will not really allow match making
2. Saw some FP bonus text with cbill earnings of 0 at match end (not the match summary screen), should be invisible I think since it's a % boost?
