Even after we kick the clans back we can't retire though. You don't earn a warrior's death by -just- guzzling mead. Now, that's not to say that we won't be drinking so much mead it takes the entire FRR to keep us satisified (and just barely at that ), but I also fully intend to ceaselessly deck out our mead hall with snakeskin while I'm at it.

Hrm, in all seriousness I hope there is some sort of salvage system and that weapons can actually take damage/be destroyed and that damage persist after game. Then we can have a stockpile of leftover parts/ammo/armor plates/whatever to reduce repair costs between matches.
