I have Steam and I have MWO as a local client. I'm willing to bet that the number of Steam vs. local client leans to local client based on stats that PGI has not usand this decision. I will be Downloading Epic store or whatever they call it, it's just a another platform to play MW. All of this boo-hooing are just silly temper tantrums IMO. As long as I get to play MW who cares. And I'm sure statistically I'm in the black not the red. And with the a whole new marketing campaign and audience there is a ton of opportunity for new players. I mean Battletch opened up MWO to a bunch of new players...just wait for this. A number of people said, "I never knew MWO was out there." Myself included I missed out on 1.5 - 2 years. I was very excited to be back playing my favorite game from the 90's. Now all of that that will put those players that live half-empty point of views panties in a bunch. And being in IT/business for 30+ years Epic and PGI probably have stats and models to support what has been done - these "experts" do not. Time will tell.

PGI showed some pillars and you gave them money,
they dont delivered any pillar.

CW in 3 month gave them money again,
they dont delivered cw in 3 month,
developing was not even started after 3 month.

And a lot more examples that russ showed that he will get money for promisses.
You have showed and teached him that you will still pay his bills,
even if he not delivers and lies.

Now you have paid again and you will again not get what you paid for,
you will get you steamkey in a year, maybe ...

And lots will still buy the next mech to pay his bills ...

i wish Microsoft would actually notice how much this community wants a mechwarrior game and do something awesome with it.

You're a lucky man then, having a first time ahead, go try it immediately. The game from people who created Battletech itself and MechCommander game.



Just be warned, game is pretty hot on your hardware, perhaps wait a bit for colder weather.

P.S. Don't watch the intro, if you want to see it in the game for a first time.

thanks mate built my PC some years ago, i4570 and gtx 750 TI-OC gpu, hope its enuff

should clean it up though.....^^

I wonder how the majority of staff at PGI feel, do they feel as betrayed as we do?
I've submitted my refund request as I will not use EGS under any circumstances. My last shred of hope is that MW5 is a decent game that MAY come out on Steam or GoG, if it does I MAY get it then.
PGI for future reference don't lie to your customers, it doesn't go down well.

I honestly do not understand why the offer is not on the table as with Metro. That steam key for preorders are honored. I wonder that there arent any canadian lawyers willing to take this one up.. hell there must be ONE who got annoyed by this as much as I am.

I would even be willing to wait a year for MW5.. just give me what I ordered. I even appreciate the fight against Valve. But I CHOSE to order a steam key.I expect fulfillment of said order (even if it takes a year longer) without any extra effort on my part.

Oh, it is enough, my system is of similar power, and i had no problems.
Just keep a close eye on your temperatures, game tends to load GPU a bit excessively. Not perfect for a hot weather.

I so much wish for a snow right now...

Used to be a fan of TTB, not anymore.

TTB isn't wrong though. SidAlpha DOES make his money by professionally ranting about developers and IP owners in the gaming and entertainment industry.

Russ has always lied to us, why is the latest at all surprising... to anyone who's been here more than a few months. I run it on my ROG laptop and it's fun as hell. You do have to use a laptop cooler pad though, or it will poach your eggs.

You won't have any problem to run the game. My computer was older at release and I had no problems to run the game at high settings. Had spent over 100 hours in my first playthrough, totally worth it.
