The game wasnt designed for PC its design to release on a console and we just happened to get it first. Its why the graphics are crap, its why there are no choicse for skills, its why there are "upgraded" weapon pips and its why the spawns are so bad. You can even see in game where they have markers for the console. The map interactions are marked with B even though the game default is E. There are also places where the stacked 3 lines for the console menu on xbox are set in as well.
Weapon tiering isn't new in the BT universe to Mw5. And it's not 'proof' of a console port. "Choice for skills" doesn't prove anything either - plenty of games, console or otherwise, have and do not have skill trees? Ok?
As to whether or not this makes it to console: so what? That would be awesome, more gamers invested in this franchise. Why shouldn't they? Yes, I can definitely see how the title seems tailored to option as a console port. Good for them, it's a smart move, saves them work if they do port it over to the Xbox or Playstation (more likely the former).
*cough* *cough* there is mod support incoming, and with it, obscene "HD/4K/OMG" graphics addons the community tends to make.
Everyone seems to have their own idea what "crap" graphics are. It's not a constructive comment. I don't know if you mean, for example, the texture size/resolutions, the poly count, the lighting, the particle effects, the destructive environment, the skybox, the foliage, the snow, etc.
The game is first and foremost a robot romper, not a sightseeing expedition or a flagship title (like Crysis, eg.) for a graphics engine launch. I for one am impressed with the UT4 engine, and its scaling between big and small, near and far things. For example, you do see VTOLs with rotors or mech leg movements that don't update every tick if they're far enough away. That's smart, on paper. At the moment though my only complaint would be this might be tied to framerate drops when zooming.
