Anything would do, really. If we're talking mindless walking corpses here, then there's no way any number of them could breach a 'Mech's armor or the cockpit. Heck, a battle armor would do fine just standing in a mass of them. But yeah, I'd like something tall enough to wade through them, mostly energy weapons for target practice, and jumpjets for practicing crowd-control level DFA.

well if you did manage to make it to a dropship and secure payment with its captain, who says that the zombies have not made it onto the dropship as well.. i think i would go with the turkina, or nova.

Salamander battle armor(laser variant). Who cares if you have flaming zombies coming at you when you are fireproof? Jump jets for those oh-crap moments. Battle claws for....well you know.

Oh, you know, any battlemech that happens to be conveniently placed in the neighborhood that is all energy weapons.

Gotta wonder about those lasers having strange effects on odd mutagens (or strange parasites) though, because this here is exactly what LASER stands for: "Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation". ;)

Quotation from http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Laser

Have no fear. The "Radiation" emitted is visible light. also known as "Electro-Magnetic Radiation" The little red laser pointers? red light. Nothing but red light. In fact, the purist red light you can get.

The large, medium and small lasers are visible light. They're even that color in airless space and random atomspheres, so it can't be just a secondary lasing effect from the intervening atmosphere (apparently, when in space, there's lots of smoke and dust around).

So anyway, it's just light.

When you think "radiation" you're probably thinking about "radioactive decay daughters". The laser inventors were thinking "radiation" as in "energy propagating away from something".

If faced with endless hordes of zombies, I would not want anything that consumes ammo, so energy weapons it is. I'd hate killing a thousand zombies and then having to run around looking for ammo for my AC5 ^_^

Firestarter!

Imagine if the devs made an event where we needed to clean a planet of mass zombie infestation ^_^

Will there be ...ZOMBIE MECHS?!?!

My friends and I have in fact designed a zombie mech. It's essentially a slightly modified demomech, but with some altered armor points.

But going back to the question at hand...

JENNER JR7-F. Because f*uck you; I have a Jenner.

I would also opt for a 950-D Hussar, but they weren't released till 3060's.

Clearly there is only one choice: the Urbanmech

Why?

Because the Urbanmech, slow though it may be, is still faster than a zombie.

Further, zombies are more prevalent in urban areas.

Also, the Urbie has jump jets, which means it can jump up and smash the zombies beneath it.

Finally, what else would you use an Urbanmech for? Clearly, it is the best 'mech for (re)killing zombies.

All these choices are really great....but I'm taking an elemental suit...why...cuz sooner or later you have to eat and eventually you will have to leave your mech to that and enter a smaller store looking for food and water. Maybe some medical supplies...and you and stick your mech head in but you never know what's around there....thus leavin you in your flesh and blood walking around where as a suit I can crash in grab what I need and stomp anything I see....later
