I def would like to see the mech packs start up again

The rescale is something I would also like to see. Biggest thing for me about the rescale would be for the Assaults, so do them first. Assaults need some love with either some armor buffs and mobilty. Assualts don't even feel like an assault in this game anymore. Please make Assaults great and scary again.

I think weapon balance can be left off the table for now until most of all this stuff is implemented. Yeah some stuff might over perform for a little bit but I think we can live with that so more things get implemented first.

IS XL is fine in many mechs if you are capable of not throwing your mech away

No thanks. Locking mechs behind game modes punishes players, and it also encourages people trying to grind the mechs to throw matches like they do during events. There is more than enough grind in this game.

Quirks are fine and a good idea to make more mechs fun, unique and interesting. More need to be added, and only a very select few need to be removed.

A lot of players can't even hit what's in front of them.

Mechs don't need more armour either.

SRM2 weighs 1 ton and takes up 1 slot.

MRM40 weighs 12 and takes up 7 slots.

Seems to balance out to me.

IS XL having a higher skill ceiling is how you create interesting and varied mech and gameplay choices. This game needs less samey BS.

Agreed. Having special (FACTION) versions of standard variants would be fair game, though.

Rescale 'Mechs (for fun and role vs volumetric)
Don't get bogged down in a comprehensive sweep. Do what's easiest for you and most desirable for players — get the 'Mechs people have been complaining about for years. Most of the 35-tonners, some extremely tall or wide chassis. That's it.

Fix Mech Mobility (Desync)
For me, the disappointment of desync wasn't lowering the value of large engines. It was that no bold positive choices were made. How cool would it be if Victors, Gargoyles, Executioners and other big-but-fast 'Mechs had movement profiles like mediums? All of them need help still, and a solution outside of quirks would be interesting. Desync was really no more than adding a gap to be filled by Skill Tree. Boring!

Quirks / Set of 8's for Under Performers
Similar to rescale: don't overthink. You already have the values for many 'Mechs from the 2016-era gigaquirks. Give them a once-over and see if any will break in today's design, then drop them in! For the rest, do it in waves. Ask the community broad questions:
  • When a player looks at this 'Mech or variant and expects it to compete, what do they expect it to be?
  • How do geometry, hardpoint number/location, or other qualities fall short of this expectation? (And by how much?)
  • What crazy, bold changes will make this 'Mech appear in matches all over as soon as patch hits?

Weapon Balance Pass
Balance is in the best place it's been since 2012. Only a few weapons are disfavored. Do quirks first. 'Mech variety is much more important to your business model. Remember, in this game for better or worse, when something is good it's gonna be boated, and boating eliminates choices. If PPCs or large pulse lasers are incredible on this 'Mech or that 'Mech, players have been cool with it.

As per quirks- the more of the is better, but reducing the set size to 4 is essential. Almost all Clan Omnimechs are viable only with alternate parts...as a result we loose an available quirks almost immediately after entering the mechlab...
For example let’s look on Summoner Prime. What kind of pervert will use this mech with the slots “as it is”. Nobody (ok, almost)....

Reducing the set size to 4 - Hrmmmm... Rarely ever need to change the legs/head, CT can't be changed. That's 4/8 components - at that point just make it a generic quirk. Or make it a 6/8 thing. The best answer I think is just properly buff all the mechs to have interesting configs even if they are hardpoint starved, and go from there.

Desired Mech: Stone Rhino
Fantasy Mech: The Superheavy class Omega

Impossible Hardpoint Change: Similar to MW5, make the hardpoints relate to the original size of the weapon. Instead of blocking a large laser in a medium laser hardpoint, damage the hardpoint when the large laser is fired by something like .01 points. Makes one rethink boating PPCs without heat modifiers. Can you imagine a Gauss rifle falling off because it replaced a machine gun?

Why impossible? Lots and lots of more coding to add to the game.

Yes to more variants, yes to the complete 3025 roster, yes to a general rescale. I'm up for community driven mechs as long as we also get the Wolfman! I'm a low-tech grognard, and would love some more Periphery frankenmechs.

New mech variants I'd love to see:
Nova with a fistfull of machine guns. (dare I say two fists full?)
Piranha with 16 weapon hard points and no AMS (to balance this could have two each in the arms and center torso and 5 in each side torso)
ShadowCat (please make the ERPPC come out of the front of both arms again. In fact many weapon placements are a bit silly)
More generally make number of Jump Jets listed on a mech's specs like is done for ECM. Sometimes it'd be nice to have that info instead of just the max height.

Hired a Good animation Artist for the Mechs , the Dancing Daishi and many other running animations looking more like MWLL as for a modern Game.

1. Your math is wrong. A C-LRM15 is 3.5 tons, C-ALRM5s are 2 tons each (6 tons for 3).
2. Let's not go around messing with stock mech loadouts
