No thanks. Locking mechs behind game modes punishes players, and it also encourages people trying to grind the mechs to throw matches like they do during events. There is more than enough grind in this game.

Quirks are fine and a good idea to make more mechs fun, unique and interesting. More need to be added, and only a very select few need to be removed.

Mechs don't need more armour either.

SRM2 weighs 1 ton and takes up 1 slot.
MRM40 weighs 12 and takes up 7 slots.
Seems to balance out to me.

IS XL having a higher skill ceiling is how you create interesting and varied mech and gameplay choices. This game needs less samey BS.
