Here is EG 7's annual report. It looks like their business model is to grow through acquisitions.

I see you're a glass half empty fellow ;)

But in all honesty, given that they're going to go console with MW5, and Russ talking about new IP, I suspect all this recent interest in doing something with MWO again was purely to make themselves a better acquisition target. Now that the deal is done, I fully expect their interest in doing anything with MWO to go _waaaay_ down. I mean, between console ports and new IP, where are they going to get the man hours?

Matt and the art/design team (and the customer service folks) are the only real keepers in this company IMO.

Gotta cover the possibilities, even if they are not to our tastes

Just out of plain curiosity: with MW5 being postponed into 1stQ2021 and Cyberpunk releasing on the same date / dominating december sales / market being the indicated reason for that decision, can we hope for MWO to receive (at least minor) development attention over the coming days/weeks? Delaying a technically/qualitatively viable product for competitive sales reasons should imply at least some free development hours, should it not?

I bet such measures would be a big surplus in terms of trust-building. Just sayin' ...

Either EG7 isn´t good at research or PGi is good at selling.

FlyingDebris is MWO. All mech models came from his artwork.

I called it! Posted Image Posted Image

This sounds very positive to me. Financial backing, better marketing.
But I'm a noob and an eternal optimist.
I'll leave you veterans to your flame war hehehehe

heh, a barely a month, aka just starting and people are already angry, somethings never change.

Congrats on EG7 though, I just love jurassic world, a few others are solid as well, sounds like it could be a good thing in the long run.

Wish you guys luck.

Always these time slips ... bad expectation mangement from PGI side. Good that some things in life never changes ;)

Daeron is likely workin' on the MW5-developer VLog being announced for December 1st and the "townhall-style broadcast" early december. We should not get our teeth into the weekly(ness of) updates too much as long as there ain't no substantial and MWO-related info to share IMHO (with the latest update being kinda pointless content-wise anyhow and a lot of people not being happy about it). Am kinda sure - and that is what we have been told several times now - there ain't a lot MWO-related stuff happening at the moment - except for gathering / sorting some of the input given.

One thing we should vocally aim for is the (re)placement of Cadets into Tier4,5 though - and if I recall correctly RB already mentioned that on twitter lately. I honestly doubt the actual number of new and/or specified tier players to be high enough for reasonable queue-times (except primetime that is) though. New players potentially quitting for not getting matches in a reasonable amount of time seems to be as bad as being seal-clubbed ... devil's circle somehow, if these assumptions apply.

And yes ... the general expectation management (strategy) on side of PGI is "worthy of improvement".
