no problems, I should update this post with some sort of simple structure of the TS.
I know when I first started using teamspeak I was real nervous about speaking up.
But by the time I started playing this beta I was already used to having 30-40 peeps talking over each other :)

Downloaded your video. Great help, thanks.
Have my Saitek gh20 headset & mic hooked up & working (I think).
When you are gaming with headset do all sounds (Battle & Speech) meant to occur simultaneously when playing, or should only speech be through headset?
Also, to enter training, do you launch MWO first, then enter server & password on TS, or does MWO launch somehow within TS?
All new territory for me.

As TS is a seperate program, you can open it either before or after opening MWO. Make a bookmark in TS(manage bookmarks) which will save the server info and your nickname. Once you have created the bookmark you just click on the bookmark tab and select the server from the list. It will log you in to the entry area and you can choose your room from there. Yes your headset should play both the voice and game sounds at the same time. If one is not working check your settings in that application. If it's TS, it often will try to use the wrong device for playback. Later if you want one to be louder than the other you can either adjust the volumn in each program or you can use the volumn control and mixer on the taskbar to set each programs volumn in the operating system. Good luck.

Thanks WWW8Ball.
Followed your advice, & worked great.
My settings where incorrect, & have now sorted.
The "inviting into a game aspect" is another area had to learn, but was talked through it by a player.
Hearing others while playing is a little weird at first, but definitely much better for learning. Thanks again. See you on the other side!!!

1) If you de-grade your engine you are going to lose speed of course also for every increment of 25 you are going to lose a heatsink. So if you up-grade you are going to gain speed and heatsinks.

2) You get a precentage of cbills from components that are still viable after a mech is destroyed.

Tried playing this game most of the morning, rather disheartening. I have a friend who was walking me through things however there are literally dozens of small details which are so counterintuitive that unless someone tells you you would never figure these things out. Regardless it seems you all enjoy the game so its most certainly user error. Regardless onto the next game.

most things are easy enough to figure out.
there's not that much once you know a few things after that its trial and error.
maybe ask someone else on how to do things.
join on TS and group up with someone.

I hope I'm in the right place...

I've played several rounds but have gained no MC or XP only 600,000 c-bills. Am I doing something wrong or missing something?

Almost every time I attack an enemy base the game crashes to the UI and opens the MWO training video page and states "a network error has occurred" when I put in my password. Is this common?

Thanks for the help.

first question, your running a trial mech which does not earn you xp. It allows you to earn up c-bills to buy a mech which will give you xp.
MC is money you have in game to buy things but you pay real money for.

second, This is a strange problem. You need to contact support about this by sending email to support staff. click support tab above to get info.
Its not something I have heard of before, could be many of things.
something to make note of, what windows you are running.. mainly if its 32bit or 64.
CPU, Graphics Card, Ram info.
I would make a thread about this, maybe in the forum support or player support sections

Thanks Cybermech.

If I understand correctly, you can only buy MC which works just like c-bills just faster. Does XP go toward pilot skills?

Not that it's really important - but are their plans to make trees destructible? Walking through them is just odd...

The developers did an amazing job with the game - quick rounds, easy to pick up and play but always challenging - do they follow the forums or is there a specific place to give feedback? A comprehensive FAQ somewhere maybe?

Thanks again. Happy hunting.
