Who knows. But it was massively requested, and they're doing it. That's great!

Not sure, dragons have always been popular Comp side. I'm rather disappointed it doesn't have 2E in the right arm, would look awesome with a couple of snubs packed in there.

More excited for the cockpit items than the mechs, when I saw the announcement I thought this was going to be like the TSP packs where they release a series of vanity items.

Can we get audio of that warhorn?

I don't disagree. I just assumed it had some potential use given how long and widely its been requested.

I'm just surprised that we're even getting more robots, even if they're just variants rather than chassis. Maybe the spell shall finally be broken? IDK but at least something is happening around here for once.

IS Omnis next pl0x.

The Thud looks alright but I'm concerned about the Dragon since it only has effectively 4 hardpoints (the 2 CT missiles are useless without Compact Gyro). It's basically a weaker version of the Flame hero. Add at least one extra energy hardpoint to the right arm please, so it actually has a place in the game. The Flame already has 2E in the right arm so it's not even any extra work. Ideally it would have 3E in the right arm like how the DRG-5N has 3 right arm ballistics.

Subtract one CT missile if you must.

The exclusive bolt-ons are a good idea if they are designed well. Also releasing things to sell/monetize alongside player-friendly events is a good pattern to follow.

Very excited about the Thunderbolt. JJ, ECM, and MASC sounds fun.

The effectiveness of both is going to come down to their quirks. Both these chassis's other variants are all heavily quirked.

It would be great if PGI would preview their quirks for feedback while we wait for the release.

From the sketch, it looks like they're going to design them so they don't hang off the mech, or have any impact for hitboxes. Basically, they just add detail, which is the way to go. It's almost like the substitute for custom geometry we had in the old packs. And it makes sense not to have bolt-ons fall off....

They look fairly good to me, certainly better than at least 95% of the other bolt-ons available...

The Dragon (although being a top request by people who have left the game long ago), looks to be very mediocre... it needed hardpoint inflation on the right arm and left arm or torsos... Or it needs some hefty quirks to bring it up to par with the current state of the game.

The thunderbolt brings a unique variant to the chassis.... but again... with no info on its quirks, just on the surface, it is just going to be a niche mech.

I am waiting to see what changes we get to agility, quirks and balance before I give them more money.

Cool. Enjoy!!

According to the page, April 20th.
That's about normal for the pre-orders. 2-3 months.

The Dragon would be great... If right arm has another energy hardpoint. Take out 1 of the CT missile hardpoint if you must.

I also feel that for USD20, there ought to be 4 different mech variants instead of 2 (excluding Special variants). Probably Grand Dragon 5K and another Thunderbolt.

Hope you give them some quirks or add some more hardpoints.
