5150 ballistic DMG...

Oh, if we had something like LAC / PAC (ideally would be adding Magshots/APGauss, yet these are from Jihad Era, like PAC's)... Heck, even HVAC to use on huge maps like Polar. Not mentioning MM, being classified as missile weapon despite being high-arc ballistic weapon.

So far, only 3 trial mechs left. The biggest problem I see (apart from ballistic dmg accumulation) are the Lance in Formation, because... pugs being pugs, apparently.

Yea, 5150 ballistic is going to be rough since I mostly play non-ballistic clan mechs. But, not impossible. I own a CP-S, and I'm looking into a Faffy or a RAC-Whacker.

The issue is why so much for Ballistic vs Energy and Missile needing so little. Probably based on the Mech being offered and its hardpoints, still.....

Now I was reminded 5150 was a Van Halen album name, even more interesting is put just '5150' in a search engine, you get....

Everyone has agendas, but I honestly would pick the Gulag Cauldron's input over PGI's so-called "balance". Say what you want about them hating on lock-ons, turning it into COD, or something equivalent, but at least they know what they are doing. Actually listening to the community, even if it's the people you don't agree with, seems to me that the least they could do. I mean look at the March Patch.

First off, Dazzle Pattern and Pink/Purple colors on a Mad Cat? You gave us the Cheshire Cat from Alice and Wonderland; just need to slap a big ol yellow grin on there to complete the look.

Second off, great event. Normally I hate getting pidgeon holed into trial mechs, but these new designs are actually competitive and reasonably player friendly (as Player Friendly as a Direwolf can get). So props for forcing me into a filthy LRM mech; hated myself the entire time I had to pilot the Stormcrow.

The cosmetic rewards are fantastic, adding that little bit more personality to a mech can really improve a player's willingness to drop more often.

Hoping to see an in game Mech sale soon. 420 is going to bring some interesting changes, and certain mechs that didn't look so hot prior to the upcoming patch are now looking like solid investments into niche play-styles.

Honestly Matt, Daeron, and their MWO Team... If you guys can keep doing what you're doing, you're gonna earn more than a little good faith. As someone who's played for 3 years in spite of Dev negligence/poor direction, I gotta say that it is heartening to see some much needed love and attention being given to both the game and the community. Provided you guys stick to the tracks you're on, I've got no problem supporting MWO. Looking forward to details regarding the next mech pack and claiming my Stryker preorder.

I finished the event this morning. For me, the last challenge to complete was 100 components destroyed.

Got 52% of quota done. If only PGI did something about reversing agility nerf and/or introduce minefields for area denial for light mechs and so on, we could do it faster.

Otherwise - ~600 Ballistic DMG left, taking this event easily. Especially that Stryker Mechs are coming soon.

Remember you can use champions you own instead of the trials... I had a few from past giveaways.

Yes, of course I took that into account. But the only suitable fur of my own was Orion IIC. For the rest of the missions, I had to use trial mechs.
As I expected, Adder and Shadow Cat got me the most trouble due to their weapons only two PPCs. I expected problems from the Dire Wolf, but to my surprise I dealt with him in one fight.
But Hellbringer brought an unpleasant surprise. For reasons beyond my control, I completed the task using it only the third time.
Anyway. The tasks are completed, and I don't need more
