Not sure if this has been mentioned or not, but it seems that the hanging items from the Stryker pack are not labeled as +5% C-bill boosting. They do seem to provide the boost, it just doesn't indicate that it does in the item description or name.

I feel utterly BAMBOOZELED right now. The patch dropped, I was so excited - and AFTER I bought the new mechs I wanted, a sale started that included them. The weapon changes have been great, but MAN, I feel like such a goober for not waiting another few MINUTES to buy. I should've seen it coming T_T

Try contacting support about it. Sometimes they will refund your money so you can take advantage of the sale.

ATMs supposed to deal 2.5 dmg/missile no? In-game stats says 2 dmg/missile though.

They've always said 2 damage/missile, you need to look at the damage curve to see the actual values.

Damage chart shows the 2.5dmg/missile. Or well, it shows 30dmg at optimal range for atm12.

Thank you to everyone at the Cauldron, Daeron, Matt, and Francois. This is an excellent first weapons balance pass! Made a huge difference already. Had a blast playing for a change! Heat management is actually manageable, brawling is fun, and that annoying mrm 30 x2 armor beast Quickdraw was finally nerfed, inner sphere ppcs are much more useful now. Lasers won't cause overheats to the same degree. Autocannons finally have some balanced benefit vs. ultras.

The list goes on of course...plenty of interesting changes. =)

Honestly, great job everyone. Keep up the good work and thank you. I love not having to be critical for once.

On Monday and Tuesday, three of my comrades had problems logging into the game. According to them, the game launched, but they could not log in in any way. A message appeared on the screen that the server was under maintenance.
This problem was repeated for the same people for two days. I am not aware of the current state of affairs with this problem.

Makes swooping in for those Flamer warcrimes very easy

I can't comment on overall balance, since apparently I'm at Tier 5 now...'tis a silly place
Might farm some headshots while I'm here



Nova does feel fantastic with the ERML heat (and the bonus -10% heat)

So "Servers undergoing maintenance" is a catch-all cover for "game can't connect and doesn't know why". The pop-up message SAYS "maintenance", because PGI expects that's the only time it won't be able to connect. The actual reason they can't log in could be something to do with their internet connection, or some other issue between them and the server that might not have anything to do with them or PGI.

But yeah: when it says "servers undergoing maintenance", get a second opinion on that. :)

Ich mag den Patch nicht.

Es gibt jetzt viel zu viel DMG in viel zu kurzer Zeit, was jetzt benötigt wird, sind Rüstungserhöhungen, oder finden Sie es normal, dass ein Angriff / schwerer stirbt so schnell?

Ne Jungs, das ist viel zu viel DMG.

The next patches in May and June will focus on mobility and quirks. For mobility we are looking at increasing the mobility of many Mechs that are currently too sluggish, while keeping the Mechs with the highest agility the same as they currently are (Vulcan for example will remain as it is). In regards to quirks we will be looking at reducing some offensive quirks on top tier Mechs that are too strong and increasing the defensive quirks on Mechs that are underperforming.

These two changes alone will increase time to kill (TTK). On top of these changes planned by The Cauldron, PGI is planning to rescale Mechs which should focus on making certain Mechs smaller, thus increasing TTK for certain Mechs even more.

Having said all that, my first impressions of the patch in tier 1 Quick Play matches and a little bit of Faction Play has been positive and I have definitely not seen a large rise in damage or drop in TTK. There appear to be a lot more viable weapon options, but there are no 'stand out' weapons that function far better than previous options. UAC and IS MPL boats still seem incredibly strong to me. If anything I see more trading going on in a lot of matches and less NASCAR, which extends the match time.

i still have ghost heat on all weapons that had there minimum heat penalty level limits changed like LL,PPC,snub PPC and so on what do i do ?

If you have a look at the progression of the gun size there are a few oddities that stand out:
- Why has the IS LBX20 a higher projectile speed than IS LBX10? Comparing it to the other types in general it should be lower.
- Same thing for the Clan LBX20. You might cover that one with balancing reasons, but it still is odd to have the same speed like the Clan LBX10.

I haven't paid much attention to things like that in a while but are those IS LBX ranges intended? Compared to the Clan variants they are quite high when considering that all other IS variants have shorter ranges.

Verify the installation files as that should not be possible.

Try deleting your shader cache, yes it sounds wierd but it works for me when I get network messages
Go figure - Only delete the cache folder, let the peoplez noe if it works.
