New MAPS.Screw weapons. The lads/ladettes of the Cauldron have done a great job giving us new weapons in the form of better preforming old weapons. They gave me back my (c)sPL,I love them all, even ASH.And that causes me actual real physical pain.

New MAPS.

Yeah. New maps as brand new maps, no rehashed stuff such as Hibernal Rift.

some time down the line i´d like to see

HVGR
Plasma cannons
and TSEMP ...

MAYBE binary lasers for Mechvariants with few laser hardpoints

but other than that we have PLENTY weapons to go nuts with

i wouldn´t be against mechmortars, but i imagine these would be not easy to aim with or at least they always have to be launched straight upwards (also regarding someone having said they should be ballistic it doesn´t matter because mortars are not vulnerable to ams anyway)

Plasma Rifles and Plasma Cannons would be interesting additions and they already exist in this point of BattleTech timeline..

I am afraid that TSEMP would be quite unbalanced in MWO and it belongs to the Dark Ages era anyway.

No problem, BattleTech offers the rules for all tanks produced between the 20th and 32nd century.

hmm to bad bout the timeline, but regarding a Mechwarriorimplementation

it doesn´t necessarily need to be about shutting down mechs entirely but i imagine it usefull as a tool that could interfere with an enemies electronics in some way, like disabling the ability for lock on weapons to lock or a affected enemy not being able to sensorlock an enemy f.e. discrupting is ecm/stealth capabilities, ams
or disrupt its hud for a short period of time like say 10 to 15 seconds give or take ..

So essentially like PPC effect against ECM 'Mechs, but stronger?

MechWarrior 3 had good PPC and ECM simulations.

Depending on how PGI would implement them, HAGs could be strong weapons.

i could imagine them as a mix between gausscharge to mrm salvo/burstfire but with RAC accuracy

like imagine a gau 8 burst at mid to long range

Still want Swarm and Thunder LRMs. Swarms would attack a primary target and any other mechs close enough to it (say within 60-90 meters) and Thunders would lay a minefield, just like in the lore. If no mech entered the minefield within, say 20 seconds it would auto-detonate.

In BattleTech those alternative types of ammo work best if you can switch between various ammo bins pick the most suitable type.

Unfortunately, this is not the case in MWO.

Rather'n having them auto-detonate, I'd rather they left the missiles lying around, like IS lrms dead-fired into a mech bounce off and fall down. So you could see them lying on the ground and shoot them to clear them, but if you're not looking....
