Complete Challenges to Earn GSP

As some players noticed there were no GSP rewards in the Beach Party Loot Bags.

The Shoot to skill event is meant to make up for that!

P.S. It would be great if you guys included some bolt-ons for the freebie mech. I love when you do that.

If I didn't already have enough to skill up 8 mechs I'd be interested. Instead, it's a "meh" event.

Gauss Formula:

sum (1, ..., n) = (n² + n) / 2
to add up all number from 1 to 12
sum (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12) = ( 1 + 12 ) * ( 12 / 2 ) = 13 * 6 = 78

when little Carl Friedrich Gauss was tasked by his teacher to sum up all number from 1 to 100 he came up with a clever idea and baffled his teacher by solving the task in seconds

my school was named after this guy and so was the Gauss rifle

they said free mech a month all year. ill bet it drops later today or tomorrow.

I just noticed that if they would have gone one more, it'd be another 13 points, bringing the total to 91. That's how much you need to master a mech. It's a shame they stopped short, but it's still a lot of GSP.

It is a clever formula, however you started with the wrong number. They aren't giving away a prize with 1 GSP in it, so instead you get (2 + 12) * (11 / 2) = 14 * 5.5 = 77

Potatoes sure have lowered the skill bar for events. Dont even have to try for these anymore.

Thank you for the event! I am already good to go on skill points, but I do know a friend who can really make use of this.
I know our usual little cluster of folks will have fun working this together as usual.

Looking forward to the Aug mech being announced next week as well.

Any word on when the 3rd Qtr booster pack will be announced?

You didn't give me enough time to recognize the Event's number and post again. I only just caught wind that we're on Event #420 now. Heck, it makes me wonder what kind of plant that the folks at PGI are smoking here. I think that I may just want some.

By the way... Are you sure you really don't want/need the total of "77 GSP + 3 Days Active Premium Time" for yourself? It's pretty darned juicy!
