Don't think it needs to be buffed entirely. Maybe a MINOR touch, but that's it. It's already got premium hardpoint locations (KDK-3), and it's a battlemech. I'd rather not touch on the release version kodiak-3, even if it is 70-90% of what it used to be performance wise.

Any Sphere 'Mech that wants to bring two UAC/10s and two UAC/5s (i.e. the Galactic Standard Armament for modern Clan dakka) needs to either put a cannon in each arm instead of concentrating them into the torso, or it needs to do it with a standard engine. Even if it's fine with the STD, the Sphere dakkaboat can only fit seven tons of ammo into non-arms. It's almost certain to go 50kph or less and is going to be sharply ammo-limited. You get slightly better if you drop to standard autocannons instead, but you still get no room for an LFE and no room for both Endo and Ferro.

The Bad Touch Bear gets four Ultras in high torso mounts with thirteen tons of non-arm ammunition, Endo and Ferro, the ability to get up to 60kph with five engine-mounted heat sinks, and it still has two slots and one ton left to do dumb junk like put a flamer in each fist for close-quarters brawl memes and shutting down idiots trying to press you. It's significantly faster than equivalent Sphere dakka, it doesn't have to sacrifice any significant armor, it's got scads of ammo.

Is it less durable than a Fatlas? Yes. It damn well better be, Fatlas is fat and has nothing else whatsoever going for it.

Is it less dangerous than a quad LB/X Annihilator? I don't honestly think so. It's not nearly as powerful in close, no, but it's also fifteen kph faster and has better reach than the Annihilator, generally has better ammo reserves, and two of its guns aren't in Easy Pop-Off Arms. Gojira will beat the Bad Touch Bear in the sort of fight Gojira is looking for, yes, but Gojira beats everything in that sort of fight. The Brodiak stands a decent chance of not getting caught in that fight with its vastly better weapon mounts and mobility.

Is the BTB less dangerous than any Fatnir, or any sub-100t Sphere dakkaboat? Naw. Not at all.

The Bad Touch Bear is fine. It's not crushingly uberdominant anymore, no, but it really shouldn't be, ne?

Kodiaks like most other mechs would be better after a actual rescale to Battletech sizes.. but it wont happen. Lights need to be bigger.

KDK-3

Works wonders and murders everything. Think outside of the box.

a. "actual battletech sizes" vary greatly
b. making lights as big as you want them to be would make them extremely bad
c. the reason you want to do this is because you can't hit them reliably
d. the reason you can't hit them reliably is because your internet is bad

Its really hard to tell if that user has a bad internet service provider, bad router, bad skills, bad attitude or all of the above.

MG's biggest issue in MWO, the thing holding them back the most, is MG. Always has been.
