As you can see, even this slow and light 'Mech can be useful in Conquest. Actually, I had fun playing this light 'Mech.

I think that I did something right, considering that I achieved the best Match Score of all 24 players. Posted Image

I even dished out the most damage of all 'Mechs of the winning team.

Per your request expressed in one of your previous posts, I included objectives into my gameplay. As you can see, I spent the greatest time on capturing various bases of all 12 'Mechs of our team. Posted Image

I earned 412,733 C-Bills and I would say that it was a nice payout - without the Premium Time, naturally.

Summary:

I think that even if you play light 'Mechs, you can still contribute meaningfully to your team's victory, even when taking care about game mode objectives, if needed.

Light mech season for me. Tried playing uPL/SPL lights 1st but those were too dependent of what team does or doesn't, had few super nice games and few super bad games and swapped to this cute thing Um-r63s, Superfun and effective mech against pretty much everything. Might just play rest of the season just this mech.

I have noticed it too.

There are not so many light 'Mechs with usual short range loadouts, but a relatively high number of light 'Mechs sporting medium- and long-range weapons.

Of course, there are always exceptions: My "Snowball" from the game above is a dedicated brawler. Posted Image

I enjoy the slower lights myself Adder, Kitfox and Urbies even Wolfhounds and Panthers somewhat etc.. I just do not have the ping time for fast lights.. i die far too fast..

That ping is usually the last thing a light hears as it is normally a guass round right before the xl blows. Then I found out the myth lynx has urbie level armor when fully survival tree and has become my nonmember one clanker light.

High ping fighting low ping lights is hard to target and kill as the servers see them off where you attack even with the network rewind.. after a certain ping time even network rewind doesn't help..

High ping driving light mechs is somewhat the opposite you get killed easier as the fast ping players see you and kill you easy, you have trouble judging how safe or where you are compared to them..

If i stop in fast mechs i'm dead. as the weapons hit me before i see it and have no time to react.

Thats why i tend to avoid using them much.

Well last season (63) done with 100% lights only, sometimes pretty damn fun sometimes like last day pretty painful like Saturday when I ate few too many dual HGR hits and unless that his is in arm... game over. Frontloaded big alphas weren't that common luckily.
I think most painful game was in MPL WLF while enemy team had 5 freaking cSSRM light hunters and well you can guess how long I lived :D

But overall positive experience.

This urbie is freaking monster, I built that as a joke but that is one of my best performing lights so far. 377 AVG matchscore so far, running solo Posted Image.

perhaps a few and a few in adjacent weight classes (no more than say the 10 worst offenders). but i dont think a full blown rescale all the things would add too much to the game and it would eat up a lot of resources. it might be worth a couple new mechs or a map, or a weapons pack (provided there are no retrofits). from a cost benefit analysis, its pretty low down on the food chain.

Jenner might be still be worst of the lights, maybe if they rollbacked it's and few others rescale... if they have previous size data saved, I think it should be easier and cheaper than starting to recalculate everything from the scratch.

Actually a great idea. That would save a lot of work. Maybe it should be brought to someone's attention who can bring it on the table. However, I suppose, there would be the issues with bolt ons, no?
