Any Windows-11 Issues?

I was installing 3 different (new) office-PCs yesterday/today and thought I might check how win11 performs on them, as they're sitting here for few more days anyway.
the win11-installer refuses to install at all^^ - YES, I am aware why it does that, and I am aware how to get around it, but the point here is:
the fact that they DO make your life that hard and discourage you to put it on any mundane/standard-system easily imo speaks volumes about win11 in its current state, and I don't see myself installing that without any real good reason in the near- to mid future.

Win 11 runs smoothly on my end (like all os before) but without android app support or direct storage implemented bye now, there is no need too rush for it. Ofcourse if u do a fresh install and your pc fulfill the requirements i would suggest to start with a fresh win 11 over upgrading your OS later.

It's not very stable for gaming right now as its still mainly a beta product using the public for mass testing. Downgrade to win10 if possible. You can disable tpm 2.0 too if you don't wan't m$ to sneak in an upgrade in the background like they did for the previous versions.

If MWO does not start and you have an intel cpu 10th gen or later, the workaround is here :

Using Windows 11 on unsupported hardware (i3 5005U, HD 5000 + GF 920M, 8 GB RAM & 500 GB SSD laptop).
So far works well, yet I saw performance drops.

I'm upset that Win11 does not allow me to "Pin_To_Start" for my favorite programs that I use everyday, like MWO

I'm not holding my breath for this 'feature' to return though...
That's because Win10 took away the ability to "Pin_To_Start" for my favorite Folders/Documents (eg: the MS Excel file that I use everyday). Actually had to use Win10 Registry hacks to enable this--->the ability is still there, just diabled by M$ !!!!

Edit: And this Win10 feature never came back.

Oh nice! Glad to see someone new took over the project.

I tended to use it when I've updated my Win7 PC back then to Windows 8, and then 8.1

Suit yourself. I just hope that I would play MwO on Linux via Steam Proton one day...

Do you mean this?

Well, years of using different launchers on Linux (along with Win 8 Start fiasco) prepared me for such "change", eventually.

I upgraded from Windows 10 to 11. MWO was installed under Windows 10.

They've made it more secure, however, it won't operate on older PC's there's an easy test to take, if it will run.
My personal perception is it's been created for two min reasons.
First is to make you play for features that used to be free with Win10. A bit silly if it really is the case, as there are third party alternatives, from what I've noticed.
Second is that the intterface seems to be made for phones, so cuts out develping the same product for different hardware.
I've had, zero issues with it, other than the annoyance of very to find things, and it seems dumbed down for the average Face book addicts , than looking like a product aimmed at PC users

Win12 i guess at latest will force anyone to register which at that point i will either stay with an old Windows or switch to Linux.
I mostly play older games now with a massive backlog on GOG.com i am sure by then they will just run fine...
