BUY the way, machine guns have the highest DAMAGE in the game, but its where you have the most fear, you can tell what shoes he wears.
THINK ABOUT THAT

- I think the Nova will need a few more minor defensive quirks on top of what's given here. Giving it glass cannon quirks is not enough to make it playable imo.
- Stalker 7D needs to be slightly nerfed. Too powerful when compared to the rest of the Stalker lineup and other laservom IS assaults.
- Jagers need some of their small torso defensive quirks back. Way too squishy.
All in all a good patch. Looking forward to 5/7xJJ Blood Asp builds, the 6mpl Shadowcat, and melting dudes in the black knights.

The ongoing war against LRMs and C-LPLas is well past the point of being at all reasonable.
I had to laugh at the person who pointed out the "balancing" in the game where a piranha kills a kodiak. I've been saying this for a while. I was playing the other day in a mist lynx on polar highlands - I came around the corner and ran face to face into a fresh atlas and fresh awesome about 200 meters away, who had been just sniping our team, we all saw each other at the same time. I could have run - I jumped on the atlas and killed him right in front of the awesome (who was firing at me the whole time), then I killed the awesome, and kept on going, pretty sure I jumped on a jagermech and killed it about five seconds later. Amusing for me but....kind of a strange kind of "balance".
If I knew back then what I know now, the only mechs I would have paid actual money for would be a hero mist lynx, a hero piranha and a hero urbie and my money spending days on this game would have been done.
Shhhhh your not suppose to tell people that.. You suppose to say lights are weak and unbalanced..

On a personal note I'd love to see the entire spider line get a redo on their quirks to make their sparse hardpoints more useful particularly the 5d and the ammo quirks on the pir-a and b given to all pir.

TLDR: less than 2% heat bar on every alpha hardy makes anything unplayable, especially at the current performance level of cSPLs.
As a player who pretty much plays exclusively as as a CQC Brawler [who relies heavily on C-SPL's to shave off (often fresh) armor], my initial reaction was "but y tho..." to the C-SPL change. However, as AnAnachronismAlive said, I'll wait until the patch goes live to see how the change affects actual gameplay before offering any sort of feedback.
My main concern/initial gut reaction is that the increase in heat (increase in dissipation time/fewer amounts of alphas) will result in an increase in the TTK against laser vomit/ballistic builds. Non-brawlers already have a significant advantage being able to deal damage at 3-4x the effective distance as a brawler and now, once the brawler gets into effective range, you're giving those ranged builds time to deal extra damage they normally wouldn't have been able to do previously during CQC.
Hopefully my concern is unfounded.

RACs had their impulse lowered 25% in April.
Other ACs could be looked at but in my experience it takes multiple mechs of them to be an issue. For example being hit by a macroed ac2 boat can be pretty shaky at first, but after a bit can kind of get used to it, then its more of a flashy issue. 0.0375 impulse for ac2, lrms 0.15 (down from 0.3), racs 0.03 (down from 0.04 in April).

Due to curiosity, I have to ask... Do you run with Arms in a Locked or Unlocked state most of the time?
I personally have to run with the Y-axis inverted and Arms Locked except during rare circumstances, or I end up severely disoriented. (Got a history on that one, not allowed to say on these Forums due to Code Of Conduct... Sorry...) Happens without regard to what I try for avoiding the disorientation. When the Screen Shake starts happening due to incoming Ballistics fire, things get bad even with two Improved Gyros active, like terribad. Additional Nodes of Improved Gyros has been hard to get due to the costs involved, and usually can not be acquired without losing too much on Firepower or Survival sections. I suspect it might be more AC5/UAC5/RAC5 as the Screen Shake culprit here, unless there's something compounded by having a low-spec computer... possibly both...

Both of you, please go and use your MWO Repair Tool (or if on Steam, the Verify option) immediately in order to fix the issues which you are having. Make sure if the MWO Repair Tool that the Options have only the last two items checked, in order to avoid something unexpectedly getting messed up. That should get you running again without problems.
