Potentially Caught A Tournament Player Using Esp Cheat?

Was on Grim when I was taking a long way around the edge of the map in my Lynx and saw a Gauss ER sniper with Night Gyr with ECM. I Keep my distance with no one looking at me and no UAV around, and stayed out of seismic range at 476.Then while he's running full speed he suddenly out of the blue jump jet turns around and nails me CT but I react fast enough to roll the damage.
I suspect this player is using an ESP cheat because I cannot think of anything ells it could have been. He was the only player in line of sight.
I forgot to record the clip unfortunately but out of all the years I've played I've never had that happen to me.
Or am I just overreacting to a bug I don't know of?

1. Well, maybe you thought that nobody was looking at you ... and you were wrong.
2. Having just a screenshot showing your position, minimap, etc. would help.
3. Anyway, just use this e-mail to report your player/game to PGI:
moderation@mwomercs.com
You should list the map, game mode, that player's name and 'Mech, etc.
Honestly, there is nothing else what you can do.

I've seen a vanishingly small number of incidents that I suspected were the result of cheating, but I have no way of being certain. I simply reported and moved on with my life. Either PGI's people look at the match logs and such and find nothing, or they look and find something. Either way, it's out of my hands.
So, yeah, just report and move on. There's nothing else you can really do. And getting worked up about it won't get you anywhere.

If so, then did your cockpit briefly flash (presumably seen by your only opponent),
just before you got hit?

Otherwise it's all hearsay, and opinion and fact can become intertwined fairly well and basically make the whole thing moot to discuss.

yeah that's the other thing -- you can do this on enemy mechs without having a lock if your crosshair is over them. lotsa stuff that could have happened. Someone also could have seen you on the initial flank, called it out to the guy, and he decided to try to time it.

The fact that experienced players don't just focus on one goal, don't behave in such a predictable manner, don't have tunnel vision and always think about their backs and their surroundings, put themselves in the opponent's shoes - what would I do now - is what makes up their tactical experience.
and of course I also set my FOV to more than standard, and always keep an eye on the minimap and the horizon, to see if a pixel isn't moving there

yeah that's the OTHER thing. Sometimes experienced players will just turn around every once in a while, especially if they're in an exposed position. I do it a lot.

On behalf of that, it should be noted, that the "blip and cockpit flash" provided by Radar Deprivation only happens when someone loses their target lock on your mech, not when locking onto you.
To the OP, as you can see, there's a lot of things that coul've happened in that situation that you were unaware of. As has been said, report the player via the ingame function or write to moderation@mwomercs.com and provide as much information as you can muster.

I have noticed that some players probably think that ECM or Stealth armor makes them truly invisible and they are quite surprised when I start hitting them with lasers, autocannons or PPCs, even though I can not see them on radar.

Your alt account will be banned for posting this video. Just ignore the deniers, anyone with google knows cheats are real.
Posting evidence of cheating is against CoC.

Correction. They will ban ALL your accounts from the same ip as the alt. They did it to me for a day because I had posted up a video of someone using a different shaped paper doll(not even effectively a hax but still against the tos) asking if this was legal though luckily it was reversed after I sent in a bewildered support ticket asking why.
