Pre-Order The Hatchetman coming to MechWarrior Online in December!




HATCHETMAN QUIRKS

All variants (Except HCT-7R):
+16 LT, CT, RT Armor
+12 LA, RA, LL, RL Armor

HCT-3F:
-10% Ballistic cooldown
-10% Heat
-30% UAC Jam duration

HCT-5S:
+10% Range
+30% Ballistic velocity
-15% Ballistic cooldown
-20% LBX Spread

HCT-6D:
+20% Weapon velocity
+10% Ballistic Range

HCT-5K:
-10% Missile spread
-10% Energy Cooldown
-10% Heat
+10% Range

HCT-7R:
+8 LA, LT, CT, RT, RA Armor
+6 LL, RL Armor
+12 RA Structure
STD/ER Medium laser HSL +1
Medium pulse laser HSL +1

I know a lot of people are going to complain about the lack of melee and say this was a bad choice of mechs to include. But I think you made the right choice. The model was already created for MW5, and you were right to not leave it out of MWO even if its not the perfect match.

And it looks cool! Pre-ordered!

I would describe it as "mixed feelings".

I am happy to see a new 'Mech in MWO, but having Hatchetman without melee is a bit pointless.

Personally, I had been hoping for the hatchetman, without melee it's not as cool but it has a fun iconic design and is a solid medium regardless.

Two questions though:

-Early adopter bonus until January for a product released in december? I'm confused, is it a mistake?
-No cockpit item (warhorn in particular) with this mech/pack?

No melee?! Come on... it's not that hard to program it.
Make the hatchet fixed and an exclusive weapon that "shoots" invisible projectiles in a very low range. No need to add this for the other mechs, just the Hatchetman. You can do it, PGI (and it will sell A LOT more).

Will there be no (S) variant in this pack?

The 6D and the 7R look like they'd make for good (S) variants, as they're more unique and not so plain.

So the FAQ's need an update: since when are Hero (H) variants not sellable? It appears as though someone swapped the Hero 'mech into the Special variant slot in the existing FAQ template. If there isn't a special variant this bout, then that would explain why, although it's inaccurate for the Hero.

It should be cautioned: although you can sell hero 'mechs, you get CBills for them, but you have to re-buy them with MC.

And if there's no Special (S) variant: why not? Typically that's the "most common" variant (which would be an AC/10 and 2 medium lasers, in this case).

How about pseudo-melee mode for MWO?

Axe (sword, etc.) does 30 damage per second, but only has 10 meter range?
(sort of like a very short range heavy heavy machine gun).

Any arm/axe melee mech animation is optional to me Posted Image

Melee and DFA are crazy not to be in game at this time. How many years now? My black knight mechs want their sword/hatchet now too!!! My Highlander begs to DFA a flea and my Atlas wants to flat out punt one across the screen!!!! Love the new mech!

Some people could be more interested in piloting the Kai Allard-Liao's 'Mech.

And of course, the real reason for the inclusion of the Hatchetman in MWO is that PGI already has the 'Mech model ready, since they added it in the MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries a few months ago.
