Experimental stage: MS Windows 11 is playing around with adaptive brightness for some integrated PC products,
that can adjust brightness according to the Windows Content you are seeing
(and not the brightness around your computer).

Also, UAVs are spotty as hell about being, well, spottable. You can see it in your viewscreen but not target it sometimes and it won't register on the minimap. Makes noticing them and shooting them/marking them for others to shoot a pain.

Could you try Free World Coloseum and some other map in Testing Grounds(just run around it in fast mech or F3? F5? out of it to get free map view)? Because this is very peculiar case where FWC map in Testing Grounds has good framerate but in Quick Play it's tanking. Contrary to that Solaris City has framerate drops both, in Testing Grounds and in Quick Play.

When I get more time I might try checking different GFX settings to see how it affects map performance.

My eyesight is reasonably good for my age, but this map is a strain to look at. Not headache or nausea inducing (other than my sense of aesthetics) but not pleasant to play on.

All I'm gonna say about the new Coloseum map:

1) ONLY map in the game that has NO POTATO ROTATO Nascar B.S.
2) Suitable for ALL weapon systems, not just Snipers or brawling.
3) Finally somebody did what I suggested like 6+ years ago - Use existing map elements and refurbish them - congrats on that.

Yes, some minor glitches need fixing, but so did literally every map in the game at some point.

Finally a good map.

Keep'em coming.

Great work on 2x Maps !!
I really like both maps, Terra Therma Crucible and Free Worlds Coliseum!
(Both maps post-March 2023 Patch)

There is a strategy for assault and skirmish on this map that negates the C5 ridge nonsense. Don't go on the C5 side of the map and their guys that went up there to snipe are negated and will have to run to join the fight on the other side of the map.The big protrusion of map boundary that ends in E3 has defensible positions on either side of it. Go over to F2 or F4 and spread out on the hill top. They either have to come around the corner through the low pocket at E3 or they have to cross open ground to flank you around the outside.

I play it in night vision. Seems to help for me.

after having more chances to play the map i have to say that other than the color pallet (more annoying than painful) i like it. though the cap circle in Domination and few potholes that seem to snatch mechs do need fixing.

The map isn't completely awful but needs some improvement. Lower the outer ridge height all around by 30%. Add another mound like the one in the middle where the map cuts in to the south team's side for equality. It's not centered as it is. Having one or two of these by the base spawns would be good too. Add a few extra rocks or mech-sized cover throughout so you can move from one rock to the other in the middle to advance and have cover from at least one direction. And change the color of something so it's not all purple. Maybe just the grass?

The hardest mode is Domination because there's not many places you can stand in the circle, but the north team seems to have the better position every time.

looks like they are planning some fixes for the April patch. though i don't think it needed those metal umbrellas. please leave one or two maps where LRMs aren't frustrating to use. there was plenty of cover already didn't need to had umbrellas that seem (from looking at the screenshots) to give almost 100% LRM cover from most angles.

i didn't think they could make a worse map than Solaris but they have done it. not only with the umbrella pillars but they went nuts with the crystal pillars as well. its just as hard if not harder to run certain weapon systems on it than Solaris was. the revamp is horrendous.

so that thats 2 maps now that they have made horrible with reworks (FWL and Crucible)
