If the nascar loving QP players will uninstall MWO, when drop decks are intruduced to QP, so be it.

HOWL is fine as a name. I wanted a dog or wolf theme, but not just a couple of lines of text. It should be a real theme.
I don't know how they both look after attaching the addions.

Sounds good. At least it will conform to the accurate lore.. If it had been a battlemech of a different mech no issue many clan battlemechs exist, not madcats though. Also omnimechs give players more options to change loadouts if you don't care for the quirks.. Or if it gets nerfed in the following weeks and months

I can't see why anyone would hate drop decks in quickplay they would be so handy.. You don't even have to allow all 4 mechs to drop.. just have four different mechs with different camos etc to be ready to drop.
Alpine map pops oh i can use my large laser boat or a lrmboat.. HPG map arrives ohhh i can use my brawler or erlarge mech.. Viridian bog ok now its my fast mechs or Brawlers etc...
Instead of currently oh i'm in my brawler and everyone picked Alpine 7 mins of wasting my time..

I'm pretty sure that the battlmech timberwolf is a fluke and they are just showing off the hardpoints...
it will very likely be a omni.
Engine is 370 instead of 375, there's equipment in the legs, where the Omni has fixed armor/structure, etc. And Navid A1 (Cauldron spokesperson and someone who at least personally interacts with the people who designed this, if he didn't have a hand in it, himself) confirmed that it is, in fact, a Battlemech Timber Wolf with a minimum engine rating of 350 (and presumably a max rating of 400).
Its "legendary" quirk is an 80% range boost to ATMs, which someone calculated puts the high-damage range out to 450m, and which everyone is 100% sure will be nerfed into oblivion after a week, or a month, of having this thing in game, until you'd be just as well off buying the CB TBR-D for the quad missile hardpoints without fixed jump jets.

This is where my own alternative recommendation comes into play. This is something I've been considering for a couple of years, as a way to make Omnis feel "Omni" again, but the programming would be the same for all 'mechs, or just Omnis:
Instead of a "drop deck", you enable the "load" button from the 'mechlab in the post-voting screen, so you can load saved builds of that specific chassis.
So you're in your 4x SRM6, AC/20 Atlas, and everyone picked Alpine. Instead of switching to a 4x ERLL Hellbringer (which would totally mess up any sort of weight distribution that the matchmaker might be trying to implement), you can pick your 4x LRM5, Gauss Rifle build for that same Atlas.

When you look at all the newly released online games today, you will see multiple game modes. They are arranged from easy to difficult. You can observe this as well. I find this aspect missing in the game.
I'm not saying that this game is better. I'm not saying this to promote or advertise any game, I'm just stating what I see as a missing aspect. Please do not get me wrong.
You are targeting the same player base.

No... No one wants lame CoD style MechWarrior matches... CoD is a Cancer... MWO was far from this style of game, but is sadly moving ever closer... Legendary Nonsense, Drop-Decks, etc. come on... Sad...

If there were any operation DLC, I would buy it immediately.
For example, if night maps were offered as DLC under the operation name, I would purchase them.
They did this in Battlefield 4 game and attracted the attention of many players.

Would the introduction of a Legendary Mech with a hefty buff to ATM range make this a good time for some official info regarding ATMs- specifically the damage/range brackets? It has been very difficult to find any authoritative info- though there are plenty of differing opinions about them offered with varying degrees of certainty in the forums, reddit, etc. Is this a lot to ask? Just some actual numbers.
I think the new mechs are good- they have personality. They're clearly not for everyone, and there is no pleasing some folks. I guess that's why there's Guiness?

We had nighttime operations in MWO, but it got complained about until it was removed. There was an actual glitch in the game code when the server tried to change the time of day mid-match, where it would spike everyone's ping for a second, but they threw the baby out with the bathwater and removed the variable start time with the time-change mechanic. I tried telling them that they just needed to increase the timer on the changeover to 35 minutes (something well beyond the length of any match, so it would try to do the "time change" after the match ended), but they removed it, entirely, instead.
