SR quirks when?

Looks good though, it'll be fun to pilot, even if the huge spinal mounts will get me killed a lot.

Range quirks and range skill nodes now affect the 90m range bracket as well.

that mean
the minimum range for ppc is 81 when have the 10% range increase skill? or it will be 99?
does that apply to ATM as well?

Gauszilla in the picture seems to be packing clan weapons, nobody wants to talk about that? Is it an error or what's going on?

GuassZilla is a Clan variant of the Annihilator.

A Ghost Bear one IIRC

Edit:
From Sarna

Quote

  • Annihilator Bryan Gausszilla Apparently based on the Annihilator C2, this customized variant carried a fifth Gauss rifle in addition to the standard Gauss Rifle layout, with only eight tons of ammunition altogether. It was the customized personal 'Mech of early-twenty-ninth-century Clan Ghost Bear Star Colonel Bryan Kabrinski, and apparently a unique modification given the note (as of 3074) that the 'Mech was "lost to history".[15] Known as Gausszilla in its time,[15] it is obviously a nod to the somewhat famous noncanonical Gausszilla design by Bryan Nystul but it should be noted that it is indeed a slightly different design: It has 14 tons of armor (instead of 11.5), double heat sinks (instead of regular heat sinks), less ammunition (8 instead of 9 tons), and no secondary weapons. BV (2.0) = 2,455[16][17]

One thing that this could maybe open up is the possibility of an IS Behemoth Legendary

Any idea of Gauzzillas max engine rating, didn't see it in pictures or I'm blind...

It will be 99m All range brackets extend outwards from you by range quirk/skills

Would make sense to be other way IMO

Not enough heatsinks/ammo/leg armor, https://mwo.nav-alph...f506c3b9_CUSTOM

You wanna go too fast! And heat eff. is good enough if you don't insist blasting that ERPPC every time CD allows.

If you read previous pages of this thread it was talked about.

That and a possible release of C variants of IS mechs there is plenty that fully equipped with Clan Tech, but at this point we should slow push for variants with mix tech at least add something unique to the game.

"NOTE: Range quirks and range skill nodes now affect the 90m range bracket as well."

How will the skills affect it? Does the minimum distance also increase or decrease as the range increases?

a lot of time and work is put into getting the new patches out every month
I'm waiting for the patch where finally an anti cheater software will be integrated into this game
like it is standard in so many other games
the last players to be banned shows how easy it is to manipulate in this game

Shame to see even more of a push to get people to mount Rotary AC's

Already irritating and unpleasant to run into...

Out of all the so-called "Legendary" Mechs, the Gausszilla is the only one that makes sense to bear that title.

Are you saying the Clan tech Annie is the power creep? If so, while I’m excited for it, I disagree. It’s got 5B 1E hardpoints, it’s not going to be earthshatteringly OP.

100 ton assaults
100 ton assaults
100 ton assualts

This is Assaultwarrior Online. Some of us don't do well in assaults and it gets increasingly harder to compete against them.

I get it. That's where the money is. That's why almost all the Legendary mechs are assaults. I'm just sad about it.

I don't really care/am not concerned by any of the changes or additions, but one fairly minor thing is gnawing at me: in most of my QP games lately there seem to be a good 5-6, and occasionally more, assaults on each side (ironically to my point, last night there were two matches where one or both teams had 6 lights on a side). The day this patch drops I fully expect to see a few matches with nearly all assaults on both sides, perhaps with one or two light/med back stabbers trying to play the odds. Its going to be epic for awhile, or miserable; perhaps both.

Miserable for me at least because I won't be one of the assaults.

Personally, I’m more interested in the Stone Crusher. All those lazors…

That said, I’ll probably wait a while to see if they get re-quirked.

Good hunting,

This new map is dark and hazy. What do developers think because someone can increase the gamma and brightness. And get a huge advantage. And there are those who use reshade to add clarity to the picture. Because of such cheaters, good and honest players like me cannot get tier 4.

I'm sorry, but if you think changing your brightness is cheating, you need help.

After reading these patch notes, 2 things are CRYSTAL CLEAR:

1) The game is being violently, absurdly, and exclusively shifted towards ballistics. Gotta sell Gausszilla by making it as OP as conceivable. I mean those 5 Gauss rifles ain't gonna play themselves.. I threw up in my mouth a little bit.

The game has been and is ruled by blue lasers, they're trying to make ballistics ourside of a Direwhale at least be relevant.

No. ATMs have their point blank range set to 0 dmg. And as a result the first bracket is ignored by range quirks.

PPC and HPPC after patch will have non-zero point blank damage and that bracket won't be ignored by range quirks/skills.

So technically, we have two new chassis for this July 2023 Patch:

1) Stone Rhino, and
2) Annihilator IIC for the Clan (aka Annihilator Gausszilla Legendary Mech) ;)

I am not complaining...

Question about the Battlemaster-1D:

The -100% jam chance for racs and uacs, does that mean they never jam, as in you can fire racs forever if you have the heat dissipation?

I need to know XD

Hats off to the Cauldron, who notices everything in MWO...
The July 2023 Patch just killed my favourite Dire Whale ballistic build Posted Image

I think this is correct.

For this upcoming July 2023 Patch:
MWO will remove from BLR-1D:
~removed the "RAC Jamp Ramp Down Duration"
~removed the "UAC Jam Chace"
***This is because RAC/UAC never jams with this "-100% Weapon Jam Chance" quirk! Posted Image

Quote

BATTLEMASTER
BLR-1D
  • Removed -30% UAC Jam chance
  • Removed -25% Rotary Autocannon Jam ramp duration ...
  • Added -100% Weapon Jam chance (UAC/RAC)
