Yeah but you have to have thermal paste, and that adds another 2 tons, so no.

Wake me up when MWO2 is announced using the Unreal 5 engine. I can find a 100 bill for it and a "legendary founder" icon.

Could do that with the Phoenix Hawk.

Problem is that, it's already tonnage starved,

Maybe the Phoenix IIC though, at least it'll be different from the almost Hunchback-IIC torso ballistics.

I want that, too, and I did ask. However, they said no. Yet, gave no reason as to why it shouldn't be added. Go figure.

As for myself, I see no reason as to why not add them. And in my opinion, they should be added. and balancing them should be more than easy.

Been playing this game almost since it was first launched. I have to say, you are ruining this game with all these new 'supermechs'. I spent a lot of time building myself some great mechs, using all the benefits of the skill trees and balancing speed, maneuverability, armor, weapons, etc. depending on the mech and I have some really good builds. Played them for years but now an off the shelf mech comes along that can take out a side torso in a heavy or assault mech in one or two salvos... ridiculous. The focus of the game sued to be that you made a balanced build and learned how to use it to its best advantage but now it is all about building a mech that you have to pay money for to get the 'quirks' otherwise your good old mech just isn't going to cut it. You are getting greedy and are ruining the game in the process. Maybe it is time to go find another game...

Your problem, PGI, with MWO continues to be the continued mismatch of players exacerbated by group drops in soup queue. Case in point, multiple matches recently where Tier 1 players and groups dropped with Tier 4 and 5 players. Obvious match scores resulted - 12-0 to 12-3. On both winning and losing sides, it was highly frustrating either way. Winning, yeah, but when the match is over essentially before you can fire 3 alphas, that's no fun. Groups with high tier players essentially rule every match one way or the other. They generally pick the map and match type. Then they either cause the win or a loss from tanking or bringing non-competitive mechs (all lights, for example) on a brawling map.

The second issue is the presence of OP mechs, esp legendaries that evoke a pay to win intention. Honestly, in what MechWarrior universe does a Scaleshot out brawl a brawl build Stone Rhino with 3x the armor? But I've seen that happen. The latest darling, the Bullshark is way OP. Lots of things to fix for balancing matches, but No.1 is balancing teams and player experience including groups.

And don't give me the old canard about it being due to a decreasing player base, because you can try to rebalance around it at the match level. Handicap Tier 1 players, or reduce player count of Tier 1 teams - maybe make them go 10 v 12. Use variable quirks assigned by the matchmaker to low rated players. Lots of possibilities. So far, I've seen no attempt to address this issue. For now, if I see a Tier 1 group of multiple players on the other side, I pretty much check out of the match.

This is the least pay to win game you will ever see. You pay for early access nothing more. The bullshark is a good mech but, overpowered? Nah. I agree that matchmaking is a problem, but that is mostly a feature of the diminished player base. They have already said that they can't do a 10 v 12 or anything like that. Anyway, it wouldn't really help you. It really comes down to positioning and experience. Most of the comp tier guys play a LOT and always play together. There aren't enough of them anymore to have them playing each other. Anyway, they really DON'T want to play each other. There are hundreds of vids on youtube on tactics and positioning. Watch one or two, then play. I surely don't claim to be great, but watching how the really good players play and thinking, I can have good matches. If you get 12-0'ed, look at what your team did and then don't do that.

To be fair, most of the stomping is nothing to do with pre-mades. Its with players behaving really stupidly.

Light mech runs behind, 3 assaults decide to spend half the match chasing it.

Blatant flanking lance.... whole team ignores then complains they got shot in the back.

Light mechs all run straight into the enemy team, leaving their their lights to harass when the enemy heavies are already engaged.

Providing zero help to the poor sod actually trying to defend the flank attack.

Totally ignoring comms.

All of these often results in otherwise reasonably equally skilled teams turning into a 12-4 stomp.
Even the best teams would struggle to achieve better than 12-4 against a pug if the pug players use
basic tactics.
