I wonder why the mech is 'locked' then if a server wasn't found..?

Thanks for the hotfixes and quick turn arounds lately!

Curious if the unlocked Legendary 'Mech Bolt-On's can be trasferred to mechs of the same chassis or somehow unlocked to do so?

It would be an incentive to have chassis unlockable bolt-ons to buy other Legendary 'mechs for sure.

Well I don't work there, but I know servers.

1 - 24 players brought into a queue
2 - server is assigned, database begins loading their assets for rendering
3 - server barfs over the database error
4 - everyone dumped out of match because server failed, assets locked
5 - we get an error message about the database failing to load assets. But since the user interface doesn't have exact language for this, we get a generic "Server not found" error

Stats I can't speak to. But servers... pretty dang sure.

Same here, I understand the loading of assets issue, but I have been playing the last week or so and the issues are getting worse for me as time goes on. Not only no server found and lock out of match, but, 2 mech bays...yes it's been reported but first for me. And logging out didn't fix the issue. I played one game... This isn't some ID problem, it's a deeper corruption!(( Like I haven't played any Centurions lately, I was playing Blight when my game CTD. Just saying it's getting worse, and now I here what everyone is saying. Seriously, I hope this patch tomorrow does fix the game, not make it worse.

And ID's...Really?.. before the patch everything was fine, how could adding a few mechs and map make things go from stable to this!((

Unfortunately the Mechs still get locked as that happens when the match group is created, the map and mode are chosen, and all the information is sent to the server.

I think the changes to bolt-ons will increase the number of people equipping them. Since you're no longer limited to bolt-ons fitting only one chassis it makes it viable to swap them between your mechs, much as the warhorns are swapped around.

Can you explain to me like i'm five why the servers needs to load every possible thing from a database for rendering instead of what is defined in the mech build? Just curious, it sounds a lot like the recent diablo 4 "we have to load every player inventory and stash you meet".

EDIT: to clarify from previous posts i get the impression that the size of the whole database is the issue or number of IDs and it ALL gets loaded no matter what.

Mechs are locked once the group is made and the mech is sent the DS for mode and map selection
The DS fails to start due to timing out while attempting to load item list from Database.
Stats are reported at the end of the match. If the match doesn’t start, the match doesn’t end.
