meh not impress or really interested in this years offerings to the holiday gods. since this thread is about the mechs i will stick to that and not the loot bag events (two of the paint patterns on offer are ok the other one is crap)

first we have a Warhammer, not a bad mech but i already have 4 from other free mech events including a 6R (hell it even came with a Mohawk and the back sword/shield bolt-ons) so its not really something that has my interest in the least (i will likely just keep this new one and put my old build on it then sell the standard variant for the mechbay (2 SN-PPC and an MRM-30))

Second we have a Commando- ok here we get a bit of credit for it being a new Variant at least and not just an existing one with a the C-bill bonus tacked on. still for me its less than useless since i don't play light mechs other than the odd Ubie shenanigans. still giving credit where it is due.

all in all very disappointing. hell i would have at least expected a Longbow of some kind (an LRM one so you can mentally imagine you are Lobbing little exploding presents at people). then some kind of clan offering even if i have no interest in those mechs at all. just lack luster all around this year.


on a side note the MC is nice (C-bills as well for those who aren't space rich), i'll save it for when the Longbow comes out for MC and might pick one up then.

(don't get me wrong free mechs are free mechs and always a plus especially when all you have to do i splay one match during the time frame, i'm just not enthusiastic about these offerings)

I can not help you with the extra loot bags, but that Warhammer can take up to one hour to show up in your Mechlab. Just play a few games with other 'Mechs and that Warhammer will arrive eventually.

COM-D03 is fantastic.

I ran it with several configurations already.

True Zombie build 175 STD 5xML, with 3 single heat sinks in the legs and MASC was very functional if a bit underpowered feeling, didn't feel overly hot either.

170LT with DHS and 5xMPL was a brutal build, couldn't fit MASC without stripping too much armor, but 110kph was fast enough to maneuver and with that kind of fire power and speed it was doing quit well. 500dmg games were easily achieved

Did one run with a BLC Zombie, I took a wrong turn and ended up dead, so I can't give a good review of that build yet, but I can tell it has promise in the mid range game.

I'm sure someone will slap a HPPC in there eventually.

I can't wait to see someone try and wedge 2x snubPPC into it.

IDK if y'all read the all comments on here but I Was asking for small cockpits and small gyros (for 2 extra CT slots) several times this year, and this thing delivered!

Anyone have an issue where redeeming this didn't go through? It's been several hours and a few people I know got it injected and a few of us haven't.

Just put one together with dual SNPPC, it will fit a 170xl if you shave it down (not including arms and cockpit) 22 points

At 118.4kph (skill buffed) it has just enough speed to position correctly and escape most encounters, can't wait to test it out.

It's a beautiful and symmetrical build with no left over slots. OCD Perfection.
