With the textual reference to them being lighter versions of the Clan ER-PPC there's no wonder that people are making the inference that the Plasma Cannon will indeed be a lighter "sniper" weapon just like the normal Clan ER-PPC is (or isn't depending on personal view).

=> To me the (not so) short version is: Clans do receive their own version of the "Light PPC" in (relative) terms of weight / damage / range with an added heat effect that - while taking its name from the Plasma Cannon - is actually based on the Clan ER-PPC (which so far was the only PPC Clans had).

Quick question about that event: If the main award is gonna be a Hero mech pick-a-prize, is there any chance the Legendary mechs that have become available for MC (without the battlepass) would be included in the options? They are essentially hero mechs at this point, right?

Super excited for the Legendary Black Knight! I'm so happy it has a shield, though having it on the right arm will take getting used to, would have preferred to keep it on the left arm Gundam Style. That being said, I can't wait to see what hardpoints it will have.

I also can't wait to see the stats on the new weapons. I'm especially interested in the new missiles, as well as the beam laser. Totally not gonna swing it like a laser sword.

As for the free mech event? Maybe a mech that doesn't get as much love, such as the Vindicator. I may be biased though as the St Ives Blues is on my to get list.

Its more fun to add weapon systems now and balance in between. Keep the game changing. Id suggest even more development into clans since the Inner Sphere was clearly favored. MWO kind of feels lacking in clan Missile systems; More variety there and new colors for very beam weapon would be a good way to go too. So far, looks good. Throw some more advertising for MWO online and it should all work out. Do not forget who made you and all will be well

, oh noes! Watch out! PGI might hear you and roll back the whole update in fear!....because you might not like the game...the game that has seen little change in the last 10 years up until they started adding new weapons...dude the game clearly needs changes such as these. New mechs are always great, but new weapons will certainly impact the gameplay for better or for worst, there are always complainers anyways.

Direwolf T style legendary when? It is basically a direwolf prime hardpoint wise with a supercharger. Replace it with a masc in the side torso without the missiles, and you have something awesome imo.
