Oh no, see, that's the other argument they use - "grouped players drop undertonned in dumb meme fits and ruin the game for the team they're on, they shouldn't be allowed to do that and throw the game!"
Because everybody knows solo players never drop in dumb meme fits just because they feel like it, every single solo always uses their maximum available one hundred tons on the biggest nastiest game-winningest shootybot they can because they're Champions of the Mechiverse and they never do stuff just because it amuses them or because they wanna try something janky-but-fun. Nah.
Actually this is exactly what top tier lances take advantage of. You rarely see them in anything but the sweatiest mechs their tonnage allows typically min/maxing it to ensure no tons left. This is then unleashed upon the solos casual groups on the other side who are generally not in optimal fits nor using any coordination other than follow the blob or basic brownian motion.
Watch a gud streamer and see how they can get 70~90% win rates for their sessions just off of that alone. This isn't a complaint its just acknowledging how they operate and its 100% within the rules. So for those that keep getting farmed by a gud lance understand that the only way to counter them is to also lance up and use coordination.
Think of those gud lances as the boss mobs that wander the mm queue. Also an easy way to avoid them is to launch twitch and see if they are streaming. Then simply drop when they are already in a match and you should now be out of sync with them for the most part. Odds are good they also pulled in a lot of solo guds trying to sync with them so your match should me mostly casuals.
