FFS, if THIS is not a counter ECM locked damage then I just don't know what is and how can I complete the task
stupid objective that completely does not depend on player's actions
would love to see the dev's answers here

I mean: I've disabled enemy's ECM? check!
my teammates were shooting the enemy with missiles? check!
WTF devs and the game want me to do? what else can I do to accomplish the objective?

Ah, yea, PPCs do counter ECMs by the looks of it..
Think the reason why you didn't get it that time was because you didn't keep target locked the entire time?
There was also was what appeared to be another friendly mechwarrior nearby shooting their PPC at the same target and keeping a target lock.
So it's possible the nearby friendly mechwarrior ended up being the one credited with the ECM Counter Locked Damage rewards.

0:43 time the target has already received a counter ECM from another friendly MECH.
