NEW LEGENDARY BATTLEMECHS
PLEASE NOTE: REDEEM BATTLEPASS REWARDS ON THE WEBSITE STORE PAGE (UPDATED EVERY HOUR)

WARHAWK 'KASAI' BATTLEPASS REDEEM LINK: TBD
BLACK KNIGHT 'RED REAPER II' BATTLEPASS REDEEM LINK: TBD
NEW COMPLETE BATTLEPASS PROGRESS LINK: https://mwomercs.com/legends

The new Legendary 'Mechs this month are the WARHAWK 'KASAI' and the BLACK KNIGHT 'RED REAPER II' (see images below). The packs will sell for $15 USD on the website and will also be available on Steam. Each Legendary 'Mech is a new variant of an existing chassis, has a custom paint job, and a 30% C-Bill boost. Also included with each pack is the new mini battle pass system driven by 'Mech XP. Just by playing the 'Mech, you will earn GSP, C-Bills, MC, Premium Time, and exclusive Cockpit Items, Decals, Colors, and Bolt-Ons! However, unlike a typical battle pass system, there will be no expiration date to earn these extra items. Take as long as you need!

WARHAWK 'KASAI'
The Kasai carries a new piece of equipment in MWO, the Supercharger in its CT. The Supercharger functions the same as a MASC, however it is lighter and only increases speed cap. It will not give a boost to acceleration, deceleration, or turn rate. The supercharger on the Kasai is locked equipment and it will not be made available in the store for CBills at this time.

Patch Files (Direct Download)
To make the patching process easier for players with limited download caps, we'll be providing direct download links for the patch file(s) that comprise this patch. This will allow you to download the patch file(s) elsewhere, for manual injection into the MWO patcher through a Patch Cache folder.

Aside from allowing you to download the patch file(s) elsewhere, on another connection, there are no additional benefits to performing the patch this way; the patching process itself will be the same.

This direct patch download process will only work for players running the standalone client. It does not apply to players running MWO through Steam.

Patch File(s): - TBD

  • Download the above file(s)
  • For sake of ease, we recommend creating a dedicated folder for the patch file(s), such as 'MWO Patch Cache'
  • You do not need to unzip or unpack the patch file(s)
  • Launch the MWO Portal
  • Select the three horizontal lines in the top left of the Portal Window
  • Choose the 'Specify Patch File Cache' option
  • In the field that appears, paste or enter the location in which you saved the patch file(s) and hit OK
  • For example, C:\Users\<username>\Documents\MWO Patch Cache
  • Click the blue Patch button
  • The launcher will now check the Patch Cache folder you defined. If it locates the required patch files, it will unpack and use those files to apply the patch
  • Once the patch is complete, launch the game

The red Reaper looks amazeballs, great job on the weaponry and camo. Wish I could say the same about that Warhawk, it's the pinnacle of meh.

Also, first.

Excited about this patch!
The Red Reaper II looks good! (Now, I really wish that melee weapons are in this game for the Red Reaper II !)
I like the Warhawk Legendary Mech artwork! Posted Image
And the Mauler MAL-KO looks very interesting now Posted Image

==>Quick question: is Domination Circle increased to 600m only for Tourmaline Desert,
or is this for all maps?

Quote

Tourmaline Desert domination moved for more balance between sides. Domination circle radius increased from 400m to 600m.

nothing about the new weapons? I thought that (and the new legends) were the main attraction for Feb Patch.

Welp, ya got me opening the wallet again for the Red Reaper. Well done. Now do a Highlander that can somehow carry a Heavy Gauss in one arm and a shield in the other (seriously, that's it; just a Heavy Gauss and a shield and not much else other than maybe some mobility quirks) and I'll buy that too.

Oh...and the quirk changes to King Crabs and Oxide are a nice touch as well.

Disappointed in the lack of paired energy hardpoints in the right torso of the Warhawk. Still can't recreate the -D variant...

Still loving the fact that you bring my Red Reaper to MWO.
Still would have loved to find out earlier. You do know you can contact us Battletech writers, right? ;)

Neat. Not to be "that guy," but I wonder if they'll eventually fix the BLR-1G's torso twist range (it's 10 degrees less than other Battlemasters.) Hardly the only problem with the chassis, but it's been a thorn in my side ever since I bought the Overlord package...

Also, to everyone who was crying about last patch's LRM nerf, (and I said it was an ongoing process and might change if LRMs were too weak) - told ya so.

I don't know whether to be happy that somebody remembered the JR7-O, or sad that it got looked at and was considered to be acceptable compared to the KFX-D, JR7-IIC, ACW-1, Scaleshot... Can we just set IS SRMs to 2.30 dmg/missile? It's not going to even compare to what 6 C-SRM6 do to a big mech's backside, but the extra dmg/heat would be nice.

Also, this might be the most aesthetically pleasing set of legendaries released to date.
