Well, don’t forget to improve the matchmaker. In more than three hours of play there is only one victory. This says a lot about the quality of the game.

That issue is going on for about 3 years now sadly... Posted Image

I am not expecting a fix soon since it's 90% Player Base issue!

But... ehm... could someone answer my little questions : https://mwomercs.com...ost__p__6536017
Pretty please ?! Posted Image

Because he thinks anyone who disagrees with his complaints must be a corporate shill. Understanding the issue and dealing honestly with other people's objections is hard - it's easier to just engage in genetic fallacies and be "disgusted" by how evil everyone else is. People think that way a lot about politics, but that's not the only way this kind of ideological reasoning can be used.

It's nice that there are new weapons, but all of them are useless, especially on the clan side,
IS light AC are good and also enable new images
what I miss is the 120 tons for clan in FP
why isn't this changed?

AP Gauss is definitely not useless, and Proto-ACs do the same thing for the Clans as LACs do for the Inner Sphere.

Can say I like all the weapons but the thunderbolts, can't get a good game out of them. I think they should go in a straight line fly similar to the Streak series, and be reliable at close range.

Trying to hit flea in a match just now and they kept missing their mark, kept flying above the target even thought it was right there at less than 70m.

Also for the amount of ammon you get per ton they should hit harder

Ps

Thunderbolts are supposed to be good at close range right?

No, Thunderbolt Missile is not supposed to be good at close range.

The minimum range of 150 metres (only slightly less than the minimum range of LRMs) precludes that.

THUNDERBOLT MISSILES

  • Minimum Range: 150m(will do half damage at min range)
Those few points of damage, that TBM does in its minimum range, will probably not help you much in the close combat.

He's talking about tabletop. He is also wrong. Thunderbolt launchers in tabletop did have shorter ranges, but they still required a 5-hex (150m) minimum arming distance.

That warhorn has come with the Duncan Fisher's Thunderbolt. If you have the 'Mech, you have the warhorn too.

Aren't IS LRM's useless under 150 meter too ?! Posted Image

And once again...

Can someone answer the stuff I asked about earlier ??
See : https://mwomercs.com...ost__p__6536017

P.S. : It might be a good idea to update the TIPS that can be shown during Loading... screens since for example ECM had it's range changed to 90 meter instead of 120 meter and there are also some spelling/coding errors for some stuff too! Posted Image

I actually did not know it came with a mech

EDIT
looks like the mech and the warhorn were for wishlisting the mech 5 mercs DLC and putting a comment in a thread that is now locked

still hope the warhorn will become available again, hopefully for MC or maybe they can sell the mech and warhorn on the website?

It will be, I'm sure. Their general policy is that all special reward battlemechs and such will eventually be released to the general population.

The only 'mechs I can think of that you simply can't get in-game any more the gold variant Clan 'mechs, and Sara's Jenner.

Time to answer some of my own questions :

View PostRoodkapje, on 21 March 2024 - 11:56 AM, said:

Are these Thunderbolt Missiles meant to work like Clan ATM Missiles by any chance ?
Having something like those for the IS Mechs would be really cool Posted Image

For what I need them to do it does seem to be the case : Hit mechs in their CORE while Streaking with them! Posted Image

Quote

Does this new Plasma Cannon thing for the Clan Mechs work as Light PPC at the IS side or not ?
Does it DISABLE ECM and/or Stealth Armor for a short period or not ?

For now it does seem like it...

That just leaves us with :

If you guys still can make/add new weapons to the game then I would really like to see MRM 5 added to the game! Posted Image
We have LRM 5 and ATM 3 so why not add MRM 5 to the game too ?!

Some of my mechs could really use them!

Anyone ?!

Anyone but a Cauldron member or PGI dev would be able to answer that. But I doubt there are plans to include such a weapon system.

considering they are not a thing in battletech, I'd say it's unlikely for us to see them

Yeah, one reason some of the would-be gatekeepers are complaining about Thunderbolts is that the tabletop weapon is just one missile. But I'm guessing that someone on the dev and/or balance team has piloted a Light 'mech at some point in their career, and saw what a bad idea that would be in MWO.
