Patch Files (Direct Download)
To make the patching process easier for players with limited download caps, we'll be providing direct download links for the patch file(s) that comprise this patch. This will allow you to download the patch file(s) elsewhere, for manual injection into the MWO patcher through a Patch Cache folder.

Aside from allowing you to download the patch file(s) elsewhere, on another connection, there are no additional benefits to performing the patch this way; the patching process itself will be the same.

This direct patch download process will only work for players running the standalone client. It does not apply to players running MWO through Steam.

  • Download the above file(s)
  • For sake of ease, we recommend creating a dedicated folder for the patch file(s), such as 'MWO Patch Cache'
  • You do not need to unzip or unpack the patch file(s)
  • Launch the MWO Portal
  • Select the three horizontal lines in the top left of the Portal Window
  • Choose the 'Specify Patch File Cache' option
  • In the field that appears, paste or enter the location in which you saved the patch file(s) and hit OK
  • For example, C:\Users\<username>\Documents\MWO Patch Cache
  • Click the blue Patch button
  • The launcher will now check the Patch Cache folder you defined. If it locates the required patch files, it will unpack and use those files to apply the patch
  • Once the patch is complete, launch the game

I thought for sure this would be the patch where the Black Knight was finally given its long deserved giga-buffs. Perhaps -75% energy heat next patch?

Not really complaining, but why add jumping quirks instead of update JJ themselves? Or is the reason is that as a quirk, it can be added then removed/changed, and easier to change while leaving the base component setup untouched, and not have to provide a reason why that level of JJ has a greater effect per JJ than the the next level of JJ under it?

I think I answered my own question. :)

Where it says something about 2023 Loyalty mechs. Is this a opportunity to obtain the wolfhound IC mech?

The 2023 Loyalty Mechs list is here:
https://mwomercs.com...program-returns

The mechs to be released for this May 2024 patch is the Standard Variant which is without the CBills bonus boost.

(Similar to how LBK-H(L) vs the standard variant LBK-H works).

the intention was only to buff these specific chassis, not JJs as a whole.

It's gonna be interesting to see the Loyalty Mechs coming in for MC. I'm planning on getting my hands on Phelan's Clan ride.

Afaik, it has only been Assault mech w/Class 1 and 2 JJ. iirc, hey started with the Highlander Heavy Metal then continued down that road, likely due to someone's fancy and request. And it appears to have been for the same amount/percentage - Increased Jump Jet initial thrust to 100% for those assaults. Not complaining, though going with quirks instead of changing the Class 1/2 base component makes sense, quirk giveth, quirk taken away Posted Image

Seems more a side grade to me. Going from -60% to -50% cooldown but gain +20% velocity. The decrease in rof won't be noticeable especially on the uac2 fits but the velocity certainly will be.

  • Added +100% Ammo bonus for UACs in LA

Okay, not a bad idea. Might give the omnipods perhaps more usage without the need to go in a S08 Nova-C or cipple the LBX-20 Nova-C

  • Added 10% Ballistic velocity

  • Added 10% Ballistic velocity

As a Blackhawk pilot who loves to use double AC5 this cooldown nerf does not come as a suprise, because the DPS is brutal. Velocity buff might be a nice thing. Have to test this out.
To my mind a buff for the left arm missile pod might be a good thing. You don't see many Blackhawk-Ku's running around with missiles.

LBK-C:

  • Updated the previously existing 50% ammo per ton values to match base ammo bin counts
LBK-RL
  • Added 50% Ammo per ton bonus for AC/LBX 2,5,10 and PAC 2,4,8 in LA
  • Updated the previously existing 50% ammo per ton values to match base ammo bin counts
so why aren't the 20's included in the ammo increase??

It doesnt look like Ac20 or Lb20x fit on either of those two due to slot limitations, and both already have Uac20 ammo quirks.

Would be neat to give Bludgeon no JJ shake and have it be the first clan mech to receive the quirk. I don't think giving it more uppies is going to see it be played a whole lot more save for initial testing.

Poor guy can do one thing and only one thing, and a bunch of other clan mechs do it better.
