No, those "4 phases" are actually four steps - light, medium, heavy and assault Hero 'Mechs.

The entire Beach Party event has actually just two phases.

If you buy a Legendary 'Mech with its C-Bills bonus in this Store directly, you are going get the Battlepass with some other stuff too (decals, bolt-ons, MCs, etc.).
Its designation will end with (LGD) - for example SHD-S(LGD).

If you buy the same 'Mech in the in-game store (you know, in the game client that you use to play the game) for MCs, you are getting the Hero 'Mech without that Battlepass and other stuff. However, even without the Battlepass, the 'Mech will still give you the usual C-Bills bonus.
Its designation will not include (LGD) - for example SHD-S.

If you redeem the same 'Mech as a prize from some challenge, you are getting the Hero 'Mech version without that Battlepass and other stuff.
Again, it will be SHD-S.

Tell me you've never played a loot bag event before without telling me you've never played a loot bag event before.

Unfortunately I've picked up so many hero mechs I'm finding it difficult to work out which ones I'm going to get.

Suggestions welcome!

Hey all - Watching the Feedback here you should be able to Earn enough Loot-bags to unlock the 4 pick a prize heroes. there are only 2 phases

• Phase 1: 200 Loot bags - Earn 1 Loot bag for every 150 Match score accumulated
• Phase 2: 200 Loot bags - Earn 1 Loot bag for every 150 Damage accumulated
• Phase 1 Starts on July 12th at 00:00 UTC
• Phase 2 Starts on Aug 1st at 00:00 UTC
• All Phases End on Sept 3rd at 00:00 UTC
• Deadline to open Loot bags - September 10th 00:00 UTC

I like to think this was an improvement over last years criteria But since I am the nicest guy ever I will change the Start time on Phase 2 by moving it up 1 week that way you can have more overlap and grind those lootbags out faster.

• Phase 2 Now Starts on July 25th at 00:00 UTC

I noticed that too. That's between 30,000 and 60,000 match score for the assault mech, depending on how much damage you do in phase 2.

Last years criteria was 200 match score / damage in phase 1/2 and 100 match score / Damage in the Phase 3/4

1. MWO is nice enough to start Phase 2 earlier by one week; Phase 2 now starts on July 25th UTC Time (which is July 24th in my timezone)! That's less than 2 weeks away

2. Pro tip: from experience, Phase 2 (only count damage) is roughly twice as easy as Phase 1.
ie: Phase 1: achieve 30,000 match points
ie: Phase 2: you need roughly 15,000 match points (aka deal 30,000 damage).

I know this is the case; I always do half of Phase 1 (only 15,000 match points, or @50%) in this case.
Then I do both Phase 2 (@0%) + the remaining Phase 1 (already @50%) at the same time together;
I almost always finish both at the same time!

3. MWO is nice enough to do this (2) above, because the late comers can still finish this massive Loot Bag Event!
(Summer holiday, no/slow internet connection, etc.)

Thank you MWO for such generosity, giving us 4x Hero mechs!

Prolly a stupid question. So we dont actually start getting credit to get the free mechs tell phase 2 then. I maxed out my Phase 1 200 bags. An I'm not getting any more to reach 250+

You are right. No new Loot Bags until the Phase 2 starts in 8 days.

You could spend your cash on Mechpacks that grant Loot Bags, but honestly, that would make the event quite meaningless.

(ie: Total of 600+ Loot Bags)
