mini map finaly!!! good job.
I know there is only one developer working at PGI right now, but man, if you have the energy and time, there are still a lot of UX UI that can and should be improved
you can find these suggestions on youtube "Improvement of UX\UI in Mechwarrior Online" on HECU Mechwarrior channel

Camera considering that most of the mechs rear is a solid opaque metal sheet of armor.

Mad Dog Sigma Legend Mech ,whats this pos mech?
The cauldron run out of ideas?
Anybody who dont know Mad Dog has S(sigma)alternate variant and this and the Quickdraw legend Desperada frankenstein child is this new hero
See the original Mad Dog S :
  • Alternate Configuration S An ER PPC is carried in each arm. A Medium Pulse Laser is installed in each torso; two double heat sinks are installed in the right torso and left torso. The left torso has an Active Probe. Five jump jets total are scattered across the torsos to provide a 150 meter jump capability. BV (2.0) = 2,676[21]
So you guys made the unfortunate Mad Dog S to battlemech removed the 4 arm energyhardpoints, removed 1 jumpjet and added to her the Desparada quirk -laser duration quirk on turbo but only affect the large laser family and added some more dhs and 7 tons targeting computer.Of course zero minus energy heatquirk because this is a clanmech, cant be better as an IS mech , we know.

Wao unimpressive mech ,Desperada much more better than this, has 4 energy and 2 ballistic hardpoints and can use double binarylasers, 7 more reason to use Desperada over this.
Why dou you thinked this new legend become appealing over Desperada ?
Just when you give us the real Mad Dog S and give her in S8 that the ErPPc's dont splash , so they pinpoint 15 damage ,than anybody buy this mech instantly.
Atleast give this Sigma 4 ballistic or 2 energy/2 ballistic hardpoints in the arms because this mech now totaly forgettable.

The MDD is actually the tankiest Clan lasvom, especially considering most clan lasvom like the EBJ and TBR are glass cannons. If you just add even 1 JJ torso to the Revenant vom build it adds jj fluttering to that tankiness and you still get the full 2LPL 6 ERML (using the Rev CT).

If it somehow is insufficient, adjustments can always be made.

Yeah, I know. I have a Revenant with 8 MPLs and I sometimes swap around stuff to have 8 Micros and 6 SRM6.

-snip-

0.2s 2HLL laser burns do 38 damage, against most lights that's still 2alpha to kill a leg/ST with, it's hitscan (real) and it has no charge time like the Duelist (which can do 1alpha to kill against sub50hitpoints leg/st lights to its advantage instead with 2HGR) and it moves at 81+JJs (something the Duelist can't really compare to whatsoever).
If anything, they overdid it with the -burn duration quirks and it just seems an obvious P2W double standard for a cash only vehicle like it to be allowed to have it while something like Trebuchet-5J/Kintaro-20 (these two are usually run with 2BLC and does similar damage albeit in longer burn duration) doesn't.
Maybe it shouldn't have as much duration quirk and some cooldown+heat instead.

Oh also 2HLL doesn't really have high enough heat per second (they just have that long of a cooldown) to really outpace the cooling the Sigma would run (because it has nothing else to spend on other than a TC+CLAP).
So yeah, it fills the gimmick of an 81kph+JJ heavy that can hit a light really hard as it is.
I mean, imagine if the BJ-1X actually gets laser duration quirks, and JJs, that's what you get here.
Or the +HSL Phoenix Hawks.

I wonder how the hand actuators look like on the Sigma looks like too, since none of the MDD gets them as an option otherwise.

Quite sad to see the Mauler-KO lose it's weapon velocity and laser duration quirks, it was one of my favourite assaults, although having 30% cooldown reduction on all weapons as opposed to just ballistics is nice.

Kinda pissed at the WHM-IIC-ML nerf, that was my favorite mech.

I am extremelly pissed, WHM-IIC-ML is my favorite mech. Will see how it performs now.

I don't know why they focus on the Cyclops-S , it had been nerfed several times already.

You can put hand actuators on the Mad Dog right now. It's always been a thing since it came out years ago. I can't remember if it's the A or B arm pods, though. They look like little claws.

I'm disappointed that the Sigma doesn't have a fifth jump jet in the CT. That's so much a missed opportunity to make the CT more unique besides the SO8 quirks, which are more likely to be adjusted IMO. I might pass on it due to the missing jump jet alone. Though this can all be forgiven if we're given the Mad Dog S variant in-game.

Speaking of variants, when are we going to get the Awesome AWS-9Q? 4-PPC + ECM Awesome that should've been in the game ten years ago?

pretty sure i'm gonna skip on it too because it's gonna be nerfed next patch because clans can't have nice things... happened with the hyper gauss happend when clans were first introduced...

This is not omnimech, battlemech, so much worse because you cant use the other Mad Dog omnipods to this.
So you understand better, just like the Howl Madcat is battlemech too, Sigma is non omnimech either, just a battlemech.
So you stuck forever with only 2 energyhardpoints on it. No other weapon hardpoints on Sigma.............

the picture says it's an omni because you can't change the armor and engine and jump jets are fixed... if you look at the howl you can change the engine armor and structure.

Also don't quote me on this but you can't take off the arm and hand actuators on a battlemech.

The JJ STs won’t help, since the mad dog has fragile STs. It gets its tanky laservom reputation from the C side torsos which give +25 armor. These only have +10, so I don’t think they will be particularly useful for laservom builds. You’re still gonna be using the low mounts in the ct/arms.

Sigma is a total sham of 'Mech. Who hired Elon Musk to make? Russ? I'm so disappointed by the waste of resources, plus the lack of imagination in making it.

I was thinking one of the old MW games had a toggle between mini map and rear view but maybe I'm thinking of a different game. In either event, a rear view mode would be awesome. I mean my pick up truck has a back up camera!

I'll add it to the list of things I would like to see improved(but wont be). I think I'm up to page 4 by now. I keep saying that I'm going to post it someday but deep down inside, I know you don't matter unless you have a group named after a large cooking vessel. In that case, your word(and only yours) is law. Anybody else not remember having an election to pick which players were going to represent the player base? Anyone?

You could totally do this in MechWarrior 2, except you could toggle between a minimap and a full-screen map overlay while still seeing through the front of the cockpit. The small displays at the corners of the screen could be configured for the damage map, HTAL, rear view cameras, missile cameras, and turned off.

Gosh why haven't other MechWarrior games pulled the same thing off?!

Nice notes. Thanks... several new and interesting ideas. BUT. why on earth would you take an already never played mech and nerf the crud out of it? I'm talking about the mauler of course. It is already a barn door you NEVER see. If you do see one, it is almost always out of the fight in the first 2 minutes. Literally almost unmissable at 2000m. The Mauler needed massive durability buffs like the king crab legendary (Argent? I think)
