Or just don't waste tonnage on them. You never see good players running rockets for a reason..

Completely irrelevant to the request.

On the subject of effectiveness, I'd say that they could use a small buff, like upping the ammo counts to an even 50/100/150, or decreasing to 40/80/120 and considerably narrowing the spread.

I'm happy that we have a new weapon to play with. I just kind of wish that this was an additional type on top of the original rocket launcher iteration for extra variety to gameplay.

Oxide feels squishy as hell now. Used to be one of my favorite lights, now it kinda sucks. Maybe I'll get used to it but my old boom&zoom style with this thing no longer works at all.

So it goes.

The rocket launchers "rework" essentially kills them. They were already a very niche weapon, now they are completely useless.

Once again butthurt (literally in this case) Cauldron ERPPC/Gauss campers have their way with Piranha Games. They are the only player segment that is being listened to. No one should ever threaten their pastime of picking targets from 2km. Amazing.

As always, a 2 week in-game Patch Science Sale will go live shortly after the patch and include all applicable items for testing.

Just curious if this was shortened due to the Holiday-related events or for other reasons? As currently, the changed Mechs in the patch aren't on sale. At least so far as my game is showing.

you guys forgot melee again!!!... PGI I said you forg..you cant hear me never mind...

curious about the new Incubus

not sure about the RAC5/RAC2 adjustment, to me it makes sense that a rotary weapons is very accurate at first and then looses accuracy as one keeps on firing non-stop but thats just me.

very eager to try the rocket launcher, so they finally decided to try and make them worthwhile eh?

"blight now has a small cockpit" ...ok... just the blight?

again congratulations to The Coalition for the ir victory!
Melee is impossible on this game engine Mw5 uses a completely different engine.

Glad to see work on the rocket launcher, I have used the handy armour buff from just carrying R10, otherwise not much use.

Gave new system a run, 1 missile shot is some what useful; if chainfire a stack = they all 1 missile shot.

The constant fire stream is about the speed of an MRM40, with 8dps, similar spread, and runs out proper quick.

Comparing to SRM2 with 1/2 ton ammo = 161dam but you can place ammo anywhere v R20 taking 3 slots on a missile hardpoint, and about the same effective range,

So far R10 + SRM2/4 is the best pairing, but under powered....R20 + MXPL...interesting.

Overall I like what has been done; the 8 shot volley/8dps is a great idea, continuous fire is not, single missile is...use of R10 armour boost + optional damage occasionally.

Changes?

Could I suggest adding in an 8 volley cooldown of approximately 2-4sec. That would bring it on par with MRM, or even other weapon sync without breaking balances...has anyone tried R20 + MXPL rapid spam?...continuous fire should be dropped in favour of an 8 volley + delay, otherwise a short use multi weapon spam could be exploiting this good idea.

Another idea to draw in use of R15/R20 (if a volley delay brought in) is more missiles in the stack...here is why.
R10 = 48 damage = 6x volley of 8 missiles + armour bonus = best bang for buck...with delay make it 64dam = 8x volley
R15 = 88 damage = 11x volley of 8 missiles + armour bonus = ok bang for buck...with delay make it 160dam = 20x volley
R20 = 127dam = 16x volley of 8 missiles + armour bonus = ok but 3 slots...with delay make it 320dam = 40x volley

For the larger R15/20 having an 8 missile volley with a delay would work really well with most other weapons; and at 20/40x volley would be more in line with how much ammo is used by most builds.

Otherwise I can see the continuous fire being an exploit...not as bad as before, but still not as desired by the rework.
