i think medium weapons would be like a SAW. is a light machinegun that is operated by a crew of one.

also just as a side note nik has more stuff he is greatly skilled in. my 3 to his 6.(i have to get in the cheap shots in when it is 4 vs 1 :D)

Are you kidding me, Mary? Oh I mean Dal...

My dude is flesh and blood, not a cheap BT knockoff of the 6 million dollar man. I am not on any first name basis with the Marshal of the Armies of the Federated Commonwealth or Commanders of arguebly the most elite unit in the Inner Sphere. Nik didn't go to the most prestigous university in the IS either, nor found time to hack the Coordinator's PC, disable the Sun Zhang's entire gradutating class' katana's, or survive an assassin/bombing attempt which left him riddeled with shrapnel and buried benath the rubble of a warhouse!

Nor has Nik ever pulled a mason jar full of spider bots out of his bunghole either...

it was the belt. and they don't even work. note not on a first name basis with them... only reason i got to talk to them was the info i got. note i got thrown out of the most prestigious university in the inner sphere. not sure how i am a 6-million dollar man, i explained that it was for the most part i did it because it was funny. at most it was 500k. the katanas were revenge for me getting kicked out of Sun zhuang. oh noes i am good with computers. that is 1 thing i am greatly skilled with. kendo champ at sun zhuang. that is 2. i did a **** ton of martial arts that makes 3 but that last one was nerfed to normal levels so that makes 2.

Is it just me, or is Kazzen the most laid back and normal guy here? Even with the mask.

I think the main problem here is Dai10 seems to be looking at characters like Han Solo and Mal Reynolds as 'normal' and Iron Man and Darth Vader as 'above average'.
Below normal is a civilian, someone like a janitor or banker. Normal would be someone who's in the military, maybe some spec ops training. Above normal is spec ops agent, elite is DEST, master is Kai Allard Liao. God is anything above that.
All of these assume you have the resources to match. So if you're an average mechwarrior, you have a stock mech. If you're pretty good, you can have a custom and enter the 'Above average' zone. If you're a clanner, you can enter Elite with an omnimech. If you're an average mechwarrior with a mad cat, you just got bumped to 'Above Average'.
Dai, you're a master in a tonne of skills, you've been reworked, you've come across all sorts of stuff...You're definitely in the elite or master zone at a minimum. Thom has training in several skills, you're a master of several. Thom knows a few pirates and has a semi decent merc corp, you're the ******* relation of the Steiner Archon, the Coordinator's distant nephew, and House Davion still owes you a personal favour. The distance between your characters and ours is pretty huge.
Frankly, I'm tired of this conversation. We're trying to help you out, because we think you're a smart guy. Instead of listening, despite several points at which you've said you're a new RPer, you've never done it before, you're refusing to listen to older hands and instead complaining we're picking on you. Chaos Grinder and Guardian Wolf, just choosing players from this RP, will tell you that I've vetoed things from them on more than one occasion and helped them come up with alternatives. The only thing that's happening differently with you is you don't want to listen, so we're not moving on and helping you improve because we can't get you to realize there's a problem.
So this is the last I have to say on the subject. I joined this RP to have some fun, play with the TBQ and a great cast of players and see what nonsense we could get up to. Not get gridlocked into 18 pages of trying to explain why a Mary Sue is Bad For Roleplaying.

So, what's everyone thinking of the offer? Elite House Unit? Very specific amount of cash to be divided between us all? Very large amount each? I smells me some shenanigans.
Also, minor question, the 47mil C-Bills each - in terms of the TBQ, is that 47mil between us, or each? 'Cos if each, the TBQ's collective account is going up 188mil C-Bills plus salvage...
I think it's safe to say we're signing on to that ;)

EDIT: Kazzen, I think Dirk gives you a run for your money B)

Good Guy Rogue B)

If there´s someone who shure as hell knows how to RP then its Rogue. And actually, not listening to those who know how it´s done ... neh, not the best option.

Dirk's not really average, given that he's a human-swiss-army-knife-of-abandoned-hobbies mad scientist with ADHD. It's more he just doesn't care. He just lets the rest of the Quartet do the talking and heavy lifting, and goes where they tell him to go and does what they tell him to do and doesn't complain so long as he gets to play with the shinies afterwords. Plus, at this stage, the mechwarriors at least are his friends, I'm going to play him as friendly with the techs and VTOL crew as well, and be sh*tscared of the ragtag bunch of quasitrained, semiprofessional infantry.
I kind of have my own personal mental imagery of them as being an 'expert search and retrieval from hostile locations' unit not from training, but from a long history of snatching, grabbing, killing, and not dying!

EDIT: Also, n'aawwww CG, I wuvs 'oo too!

Well Kazzen is an ex-sniper with an odd habit of ending up in situations requiring the excessive use of escape plan B...

But when it somes down to it he is rarely an aggressor (so far at least) and has pretty much been passive throughout the RP. I hope to make him really shine when the action starts though hehe.

I'm pretty sure that's 47 mil apiece... the if er're going to be doing it is not the question, it's what are we gonna have to do, and who's misery are we going to gain from?

I think Dirk would also be rather anxious to know if there are any terrain features in the combat area that he should avoid removing...

Nikoli is going to want to see what everyone is riding with.

He needs to see how many tons of Narc equipted missiles he's gonna have to bug Jean for.
