Marauder ;) Best 'Mech ever !!!!

Same here. I really like how the Mech is looking and its weaponry: 2 PPCs, 2 Medium Lasers and 1 AC5. Furthermore, this is the Mech Grayson Death Carlyle, the leader of the Gray Death Legion, is using and looted from duke Ricol.

Salamander that Archer Christifori used in Measure of a Hero. I dont like the original version that is a missile boat. Not my style of playing, I like lasers. I just always wanted a game to have a salamander that i could customize since that book. And if im not mistaken it wasnt even in the mektek expansion that had an enormous amount of mechs.

Timber Wolf, it's a iconic mech.

I always considered this mech to be the representation of Clan Wolf's success through the ages. It's predecessor the Woodsman was already a powerful design, the Timber wolf dials it up to eleven.

I personally prefer the A configuration to the primary since it is basically a Clan version of the Warhammer WHM-6R. The Later E and H variants upgrade the design in rather interesting ways.

Though special mention should go to the Adder, Ice Ferret and Pouncer.

Hellbringer (Loki) is by far my favorite mech. Has a great combination of long/medium range and short range loadout. Its a omni-mech, it tops out at 85ish KPH (fast for an assualt/support mech. Lacks JJs but if I remember correctly its like the Thor and has 360^ actuator.
Also Clan Ghost Bear for life !!! ;)

On a side note : I also have an affinity for the Rifleman

...I'm another Catapult lover, but recent TT games have brought another unit to interest me; the Talon. This light unit travels 80 - 120 kph, carries an ER-PPC and twin mediums with near-max armor for a 35-ton unit.

(Sorry, can't post the Sarna Battletechwiki picture. Here's a link. http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Talon )

The Sagittaire and Fafnir. They're both beautiful ugly and in a city you DO NOT want to tangle with either one of them.

Well I have to separate this into 2 categories.

When talking about Battletech, before any of the Clan stuff came out, I'd have to go with the Thunderbolt. Back in the old school TT days, this mech had the firepower, heat sinks, armor and maneuverability to get the job done and it took a licken and kept on ticking!

When we get to actual PC games and talk about MechWarrior games, then my choice shifts to the Madcat Mark 2. You just cant beat this mech for firepower and maneuverability. Plus, it just looks damn cool.

I'm going with Marauder. Either unseen, reseen or soon to be seen (wanna see what Alex's spin on this will be).

Before I got into the whole "vibe" of running a merc company I really enjoyed the backstory of the Bounty Hunter not to mention the unseen version is pretty damn sexah!!! I think the AC/5 is about as useless as (insert whatever) on a bull but I've got a custom load out for that ^_^

It produces the least heat compared to all other weapons in the MAD-3R, just think of it as a backup weapon when you are running hot.

Back in the MW4 days when they could sport 6 and 7 ER Large, before Mektek nerfed the ER Large, it may of got my vote. Now, eh not so much. It'll be interesting to see what MWOs take will be on this mech, if and when that time ever comes.

My favorite is a mech who's adaptability, efficiency, and reliability have stayed tried and true throughout Battletech/MW Lore since it was first introduced to the IS on the Rock...

The Timber Wolf

Then the Dire Wolf comes in for a close second as the baddest and meanest thing you never want to see on the opposite side of the battlefield...

Also, some Lore info for some of you. The IS name for the Timber Wolf Madcat came into play when Phelan Kell's mech was attempting to identify for him what mech he was about to fight. His mech kept switching back and forth between the designations MAD and CAT MAD for Marauder and Catapult because of the similarity between the arms and body layout of the Marauder and the Missile Racks and Torsos of the Catapult...
