Thank you. I know what you mean on the student driver bit. I think it was just too busy, and didn't survive resizing very well. I'll work on it.

My only big issue right now is I'm having problem actually painting with anyone but Hayden's templates, I can fuzzy select the 'mechs in his templates and it selects the overall 'mech (minus the important bits,) but can't seem to do the same with Ironhawk or Nacon's.
Gentlemen, I give you a humble contribution to your unit's 'Mech gallery. Hope it's alright. Big shoes to fill as you know...
EDITED: 1 layer did not appear in the JPG version for the decal under the knee. Here's the updated image with the works.

Haha! Looks amazing Ironhawk! All your work always does! Remember, remember, the Fifth of November, the Gunpowder Treason and Plot.
Did I miss the Blackjack template? I think it's the only one I'm missing.
Also, just to show I'm still working on stuff...work in progress! (I decided to go safe for right now and do our Spider in regular unit colors to compliment the training colors Hayden did for it. I might go back and do training colors for all of our 'mechs once we're done with the main 'scheme!)

1st Blackburn's Raiders Spider
I can't believe I was able to achieve this, and I know that I'd not have been able to do any of this without the support and help from Hayden, Ironhawk, Adridos, Nacon, and many others. I keep learning more about GIMP, but I think I might try to snag Photoshop sometime to be able to start learning that and hopefully keep improving!
Thanks to everyone!

When I started with this repaint thread I never expected it to become as popular as it has. In fact, I can still remember the fear and self-loathing I felt as I put the finishing touches on that very first (very hideous) Marik Militia Atlas that I cranked out so long ago. It was a fear of failure that almost aborted this endeavor before it had even stated.
Quite contrary to my fears, I was shocked with the overwhelmingly positive response (positive enough to lead me to do about 260 more "repaints"). Over time, and with huge thanks to the contributions of a number of brave and artistic minds this thread has taken on a life of its own. Yeah, I got the ball rolling: but the community has kept the momentum. It has become, to my knowledge, the most viewed thread on the forum, and has a number of artistic contributions probably numbering in the thousands and growing.
How things have grown from the little seed planted a year ago.
And I think this is a good time to make an announcement:
I will no longer be posting art here as my new boss Dennis de Koning has forbidden me from releasing any concept art to the public.
ED: got rid of a lot of extra commas
Gratz, Hayden! My sig just got more valuable! Thanks again!

but that thing... it scares me.
Nasty little beggar for having a body about the size of a human thumb. The first one I saw spooked the heck out of me (Ignorant west coaster me thought it was a brown recluse...) Looked for it online after the second one I saw (they are native to this area but not really all that common). To people they are mostly harmless (no venom, generally avoids creatures allot bigger than them), to mice and other small critters the Wind Scorpion is murder (If I ever see one in my house I'm going to teach my kid to leave it be, too benificial to disturb).
