Atlas looking more menacing in its skull-like dome of a cockpit then Daishi linear cockpit.Just that if Altas swapping in Clan technology it will be winner against any Clan mech.

I like the classic silhouette of the Timber Wolf, but when fighting for the Inner Sphere, I prefer to drive an Inner Sphere Mech.
Gimme a Templar anyday (or better yet, a Mauler!).
Though im more a heavy/medium man usually.

The Atlas is more likely at the start of the game unless we run another year as 3049 only saw the clans in the periphery late in the year so the dire wolf/ Diashi is not likely to be available to the IS untill 3050 or next year. If they hold true but for me give me the atlas.

I imagine that a year after release the clans will invade, 80% of inner sphere players will run of and join the clans, and we in our Atlasses/wolfhounds/etc will then have to fight timber wolves and summoners in an awesome but albeit one sided battle until we all catch up with omnimechs and captured clan mechs...

In this case, I'd go Atlas. Gotta love the skull deaths head. Daishi has very little style, as do most clan mechs except maybe the Timber Wolf or the Vulture. The Man o War had a face, but its not really the same.

Given a choice of assault mechs, I've always been partial to the Banshee, or the Highlander running a close second. Love the TV shaped head!

It will be! The biggest appeal of clan invasion for me is not joining the clans, but being one of the few who draws a line in the sand and stands there in his mauler fighting desperatly as a pack of Timber Wolves come bearing down on me.

As a Lyran my heart says ATLAS, but my head says Diashi ('best' mech in MW4)

I've had the fortune to have piloted both mechs. I'd depends on the mission.

can I put two clan ac20's and a IS heavy gauss rifle on my daishi? if so give me the daishi. I love to say hello to the opposition by getting up close and personal.

Being a Clanner at heart, this greatly appeals to me. However, I am joining the Clans for the lore, not the 'Mechs. At least I know I will have a few worthy opponents remaining in the Sphere.
That being said, with pilots of equal skill, a Dire Wolf destroys an Atlas relatively easy. They have similar armor and speed, but one glance at the weapon loadouts almost guarantees a Dire Wolf victory. It can use 4 ER Large Lasers, 2 UAC/5s, and an LRM10 to punish an Atlas at a range where the Atlas can only return fire with a LRM20. To win, the Atlas has to close the range to use an AC/20, 4 medium lasers, and SRM6, at which point the Dire Wolf can use 4 ER Medium Pulse. And yes, there are different varients for the Atlas, but there are also better varients for the Dire Wolf, so it comes out about even.

Marauder II

While not a huge Marauder II fan (the 'mech itself is fine really, I'd probably go with a reg Marauder) every time I see the Marauder name I pray for more info on the unseen.

Most likely the Daishi (Dire Wolf) because it can pack fire power that the Atlas can't. But I also like the Atlas because it can pack many electronics, and armor that the Daishi can't. But I would have to go with the Daishi cause I like to pack a couple of Gauss, or LBX on the mech with some light PPC's or LRM's for long range fighting.

Atlas

Because of the fact that it can destroy anything and eat clan tech for breakfast

AS7-K because in this game, Dire wolf are not out just yet. But I lean toward the Direwolf.

Atlas looks cooler. ;)

However, the Daishi is a much better mech in the end, as well as it being an Omni! ^_^
