It would be awesome to see some more heavy and assault 'Mechs, because I don't want to be hanging out with my pants down in some light 'Mech waiting for the perfect Gauss rifle slug to end it all.

First off, it takes a fair bit for me to voice my opinions in this (Battletech/MechWarrior) community (especially after the last year or so), but personally I think the new Centurion looks fantastic!

It looks like a proper War Machine instead of a single episode baddy from the 1st season of Power Rangers.

I hope the quality of the redesigns continue.

I particularly like this mech's lower legs. They actually look like this bad boy can move, and move quickly.

You seriously prefer the super old and out-dated art from the original 1986 Centurion? Most of the art from that book really was sub-par, this new Centurion brings it up to the level of the 'unseen' mechs from the Tech readout. To each their own, I guess. :)

Yen-Lo-Wang is a custom Centurion that was originally used by Justin Xiang-Allard in 3027 during his "exile" on Solaris VII and his Solaris Championship run. He modified the 'Mech originally with an Assault Autocannon and placed Titanium "nails" on the 'Mech's hand actuator. Warrior: En Garde pp. 138-139

He gifted it to his son, Kai Allard-Liao when he first joined the Federated Sun's arms forces, where he served with distinction using the 'Mech during the Clan Invasion. Hanse Davion personally had the 'Mech modified with Star League technology when Kai refused to accept Wolf's Dragoon's produced Daishi Assault OmniMech, offcially passing it to Kai on 21 September 3050. The weapons had been replaced with a Von Ryan Gauss Rifle in place of Autocannon and Spitfire Medium Pulse Lasers, two on arm, one on torso and one on back. Additionally Mech was refitted with new generation of Triple Strength Myomer which did not burn when exposed to gas, the Miata 200 extralight engine, and three additional, switchable Heat Sinks

Info Taken from Sarna.net article about Yen lo Wang found here: http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Yen-Lo-Wang

I disagree, your thinking of the wrong version of YLW.

In this time frame, it NEVER has a shield or axe.

If you read your own link it would have either an AC20 and 2 medium lasers or a Gauss rifle and 2 spitfire Pulse medium Pulse Lasers in this game (if they put in a YLW varient)

The closest it comes to any bladed weapon is the *Tsen Shang* claws fitted to the battle fist from its days on Solaris.

I'm loving all the redesigns so far.

Yes some of them are different but in a good way. They all positively look like battlefield machines now! :)

Good job!

I´m in since 1989 (Crescent Hawks Revenge and have seen more than only source books with mech drawings) and say thats what it has to be, a killer mech. Thanks for fitting up the old man (desing) and bringing us his fresh, nasty and devastating daughter, so that I can be the one to head her.

Time has changed into a new Millenium a few years ago, so for me and the kids I would like to say that´s a Centurion.

Well done!

Looks some stupid. This isn't MW original. Please don't make battlemechs are humanlike. They must be brutal irons, like in previous versions of MW series
