Not a bad way of formatting it, with the official unit designation then the nickname below it

I actually think it's a bit of an improvement, with the Pilot-Nickname-Official Designiation format there's some possibility for confusing the unit's nick name with a pilot nick name. Atleast, that's how I read it. As an aside, hopefully you don't mind me posting here, since I am doing the unit's design work

That's entirely up to you, same with ranks/etc, I only chose Colonel because that's the lowest rank you can be in canon and still command a Regiment.

Also thinking we need a 'patch' ..........something that includes the Federated Sun logo and the Jolly Roger logo (opposite ends) with the Unit title and "Jolly Rogers" in between.

Think I know someone that could do this (Hayden?) Your thoughts?

Was thinking of whipping up a quick sig graphic, something really basic with both insignia's that I could get away doing in like...paint or something. lol.

I can, but I'm going to leave that up to Jack. So far we've gone with a "subdued" fedsuns logo, because it matches the decor a bit better. The other one is really... really bright... it clashes.

Oh god, I don't know how that happened... they weren't just different sizes, they were different fonts! D: I'm on it!

I kind of like the subdued colors for the sig, and it's not like we all don't have big bright Davion logo's as our avatars

I'm not running one, I don't know a thing about being a web admin, and I'm usually swamped with RL duties that would preclude maintaining something like that. Been active the last two days cause I actually had the time off
