BTW I think an up-scaled ED209 model with a cockpit instead of flakey AI and audio receptors would make a great mech design, but beware of stairs.
Four Medium Lasers, four small Pulse lasers.
I can see it.

looking at LRM5, LRM10, LRM15, LRM20 sizes, I believe logical to assume that we are talking about 5x1 5x2 5x3 and 5x4 setup .. not anything else ... also scale to 5x3 and 5x4 from 3x2 should be easy enough

To make the whole thing smaller - perhaps you don't want to introduce additional walls between rows 1 and 2 and between rows 3 and 4
so 5 x 1 has only outer walls and horizontal walls ..
5 x 2 has only SAME walls as 5 x 1
5 x 3 is 5 x 2 + 5 x 1 wall wise
and 5 x 4 is two times 5 x 2
sorry for suggestions that weren't asked for

Took me a moment to visualize what you were trying to describe, but I understand. No worries about offering suggestions. The Clan Omnimech weapon pods were somewhat standardized a number of years ago for the recast miniatures. All I need to do is recreate a few of them for my design style.

You flatterer! LOL
For everyone that's enjoyed my work so far, thank you for watching this thread. I finally ironed out the mechanical problems I was having with my leg design and managed to finish it this morning.

And now, for everyone that's posted, "I can't wait to see this thing completed!"
Well...Lets see how it looks when I put all of the pieces together.

I hope it meets your expectations.

There is a Clan second line mech that is pretty much like this:

I think the feet should be larger.
But if you dump the realism this is a very cool model )

Someone else told me that the 'mech looks a bit squat. I guess I was so eager to complete the model that I neglected to properly size the legs! I'll post up some new orthographies later today.

You can look at Sarna, the picture of Mad Cat there has pretty reasonable feet.

I'm thinking of doing a variant or two. Which would require designing some new weapons.

Are you going to paint it?

Its legs have always looked a bit unrealistic regarding how it can hold all that weight. In fact, a lot of the artwork and models have the upper half of the legs being fairly thin and the lower half being very large by comparison, which would lead me to think they'd just snap. The balancing in this model, on the other hand, does appear to be a little off. The feet seem to land a little far back, which would make it tend to tip forward. Its a difficult mech to get the legs done 100% right in, but it's a great job.

Absolutley brilliant work.
I look forward to seeing more of these in the future. The detail is incredible!
